We are looking for a Surface Chemistry Intern who is curious, loves to learn, and wants to make an impact on cutting-edge projects. Our program has multiple elements (no pun intended) to ensure that you have a well-rounded internship experience helping the Surface Chemistry team to evaluate the performance of the surface design through basic assays, test cell specific responses based on antibodies used. This internship will also provide opportunities to develop soft skills as well as meet with Leaders across the organization to learn about their careers and gain insights on how to navigate your early career decisions.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- General training in chemistry or biology wet-lab work (pipetting, buffer formulation, chemical ligation or conjugation)
- Basic knowledge of chemistry and biochemistry and general knowledge of DNA sequencing technology
- Problem-solving skills
- Research experience is a plus
- Communication skills in terms of summarizing data and giving presentations
Education and Experience:
- PhD candidate is preferred but undergraduates in science or engineering programs are also welcomed to apply; The students from Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biological Science, Chemical Biology, Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering or equivalent field of programs are preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and verbal and written communication skills
- Must be a self-starter
- Must be comfortable with conducting presentations effectively and professionally to customers/peers/management
Physical Requirements:
- Frequently moves boxes weighing up to 20 pounds
- The position requires physical activity and the handling of chemicals; Candidates are required to follow the safety protocols and be familiar with personal protective equipment (PPE) while working in thACe laboratory environment

Base Compensation Pay Range:
- $25 - 40/hr
