About This Position

As the Growth Marketing Analyst, you’ll play a key role in shaping the customer journey, ensuring we deliver value at every touchpoint. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Retention & Product Analytics, you’ll focus on customer retention, loyalty initiatives, and CRM tactics while leveraging your technical expertise to unlock insights and drive data-informed experiments. This hands-on role is perfect for someone passionate about using data to inform strategy and deliver results in a startup environment.

Position Responsibilities

Retention Strategy & Insights:

  • Analyze subscription trends, retention drivers, and customer behavior to inform actionable strategies.
  • Monitor retention KPIs and improve and create new analytics dashboards to track and report progress.
  • Support the development and execution of win-back campaigns to re-engage churned customers through digital and offline channels.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for increasing customer lifetime value (LTV), payback as well as other key profitability metrics

Loyalty Program Evolution:

  • Assist in designing the next iteration of the loyalty program by leveraging data insights to develop value-driven offerings.
  • Monitor program performance, member engagement, and redemption behaviors to inform enhancements and customer-centric innovations.
  • Collaborate with product, marketing, and customer service teams to align the loyalty program with broader business objectives.

CRM & Campaign Optimization:

  • Evaluate and recommend optimizing customer journeys through Klaviyo (SMS and email), ensuring targeted and effective lifecycle marketing flows.
  • Design and support the implementation of direct mail programs, coordinating personalized offers and messaging to supplement digital strategies.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to execute and evaluate campaigns that drive engagement and reduce churn.

Experimentation & Advanced Analytics:

  • Design and execute A/B and multivariate tests to improve retention and marketing performance.
  • Leverage SQL and Looker to conduct in-depth analyses and provide actionable insights.
  • Support the implementation of advanced analytics techniques (e.g., regression analysis, cohort modeling, or predictive analytics).

Technical Implementation:

  • Write and optimize SQL queries to extract data from various sources.
  • Use Looker or similar BI tools to create and maintain dashboards for self-service analytics.
  • Utilize basic coding skills (e.g., Python, R) to support advanced analytics or automation of workflows.

Position Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in eCommerce, business analysis, or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis.
  • Strong understanding of data visualization and Business Intelligence (BI) tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Power BI).
  • Ability to analyze large datasets to derive actionable insights and trends and use data-driven insights to identify and solve business challenges.
  • Strong understanding of eCommerce metrics such as conversion rates, customer acquisition cost (CAC), lifetime value (LTV), and cart abandonment rates.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, sales, and product teams.

The reasonably expected pay for this position is $70,000 - $95,000 for the level scoped. Your pay will depend on several factors, including your experience, qualifications, education, location, and skills. A higher or lower pay range may apply if you are considered for a different level. This position is also eligible for stock options and a competitive benefits package.
