Overview:
We're seeking an enthusiastic Co-Op to join our team from January to June 2024 as a Data Collector for a greenhouse environment. This role involves the collection of plant health data by capturing images and reporting precise location information. The data collected will be pivotal for both immediate plant management strategies and the development of future software tools aimed at optimizing greenhouse operations.

Qualifications:
Hourly Compensation: Hours will be 7:30am-1:30pm, Monday - Friday through June 2024. Competitive hourly wage commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Note: This position is a 6-month co-op specifically focused on pest population data collection and does not guarantee subsequent employment beyond the specified duration.

Responsibilities:
- Plant Health Data Collection: Conduct routine inspections within the greenhouse premises to identify and document plant health.
- Image Capture: Utilize provided equipment (e.g., cameras, mobile devices) to capture high-quality images of identified pests.
- Location Reporting: Accurately log and report plant data, including precise location information within the greenhouse.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the farm team to coordinate inspections and communicate findings.
- Support Software Development: Collaborate with the software team by providing insights and data that will contribute to the development and refinement of monitoring and management tools.
- Auxiliary Farm Tasks: Assist in additional farm-related activities, such as making boxes or performing other minor tasks, to support the overall functioning of the greenhouse.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to locate and document different areas of plants.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficient in using digital tools and devices for image capture and data reporting.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with the farm and software teams.
- Reliability: Consistency in conducting scheduled inspections and reporting data in a timely manner.
- Adaptability: Capacity to work in a dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in agricultural settings, pest monitoring, or data collection preferred but not mandatory.
- Understanding of basic agricultural practices or willingness to learn.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
