A Brief Overview:
TriNet is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our revenue accounting team to support domestic and international accounting operations and the ongoing support of Oracle Cloud Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP). This ideal candidate will apply Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) to perform month end close tasks, such as the preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and fluctuation analysis. In addition, the Senior Accountant will be working with business partners to assist with automation projects, creation of reports, and working on data analytics.

What you will do:
 Perform month-end close activities by preparing and reviewing journal entries, account reconciliations,
fluctuation analysis, and providing supporting documentation to Financial Reporting Team to ensure
timely and accurate reporting of financial results.
 Collaborate with business partners to identify opportunities for automation within accounting processes, leveraging technology to improve efficiency and reduce manual efforts within the team and within the Company.
 Act as a liaison between Accounting Team and Technology Team by facilitating clear communication of the objectives, requirements, progress, and conclusions of projects.
 Assist in testing that is required before a project can be signed off to ensure an enhancement to a software is working functionally and compatible with existing infrastructures.
 Utilize accounting system and data warehouse functionalities to create ad hoc or standard dashboards and reports to obtain financial data, perform analytics, and assist in the facilitation of making decisions. Explore the modification and implementation of changes in key systems and procedures.
 Research complex questions, investigate their impact and make recommendations for implementation.
 Work on infrastructure development projects in Oracle and other systems.
 Document policies and procedures as necessary.
 Supports Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) compliance relating to assigned areas of the business.
 Prepares assigned audit requests and works with the team to develop timely responses to auditor questions.
 Ensure compliance with India as well as US GAAP
 Perform additional duties and projects as assigned


Education Qualifications:
 Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required
 Master's Degree Business preferred
 Experience Qualifications
 Typically 4+ years of progressive experience in accounting required
 Experience in accounting with a public company and/or medium or larger public accounting firm is preferred
 Experience in all phases of financial close work from general ledger through finished financial statements preferred


Skills and Abilities:
 Proficient understanding of US and Indian GAAP accounting principles.
 Working knowledge of Indian tax laws and Indian accounting standards
 Proficiency in MS Office Suite; advanced Excel skills required including: nested formulas, Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, Indexing
 Familiarity with data warehouses, data visualization software, such as Tableau.
 Experience working in ERP required; Oracle / Oracle fusion preferred
 Strong analytical skills, exceptional organization and time management skills, and ability to work autonomously required.
 Ability to have professional judgment and to interact with different levels of management.
 Ability to work independently and with a team located in the US and India in a fast-paced and progressive environment.
 Excellent follow through and the ability to effectively prioritize work


Licenses and Certifications:
 Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
 Chartered Accountant (CA) professional preferred
