As a Sr. Software Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, building, and operating scalable, secure, and intelligent applications that power seller experiences across Microsoft. You will work across the full software development lifecycle, leveraging modern technologies including AI Agents, Copilots, Dynamics 365, Azure services, React, TypeScript, and platform engineering capabilities to create next-generation solutions that accelerate productivity and business impact.

The Commercial Sales Experiences Engineering team builds the platforms, applications, and AI-powered experiences that enable Microsoft's commercial sellers to operate more effectively, make better decisions, and deliver greater value to customers. Through modern engineering practices and intelligent technology solutions, the team drives digital transformation across Microsoft Sales.

Responsibilities
AI Agents and Copilot Experiences
Design and develop AI-powered applications, intelligent agents, and Copilot experiences that transform seller productivity and business workflows.
Integrate Large Language Models (LLMs), orchestration frameworks, and AI services into enterprise applications to deliver intelligent and contextual user experiences.
Drive adoption of modern AI engineering practices across the development lifecycle.
Full Stack Solution Development
Lead end-to-end software development including requirements analysis, architecture, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and operational excellence.
Build scalable front-end applications using React and TypeScript while developing robust backend services and APIs.
Deliver highly available, performant, and maintainable solutions that meet enterprise security and compliance standards.
Dynamics 365 and Seller Platform Solutions
Design and implement solutions leveraging Dynamics 365, Dataverse, and related Microsoft business applications.
Build seller-focused experiences that streamline sales processes, improve operational efficiency, and enhance user engagement.
Partner with business stakeholders to translate customer and seller needs into impactful technical solutions.
Azure and Platform Engineering
Develop cloud-native applications using Azure services, microservices architectures, event-driven patterns, and platform engineering principles.
Improve platform reliability, scalability, observability, deployment automation, and operational excellence.
Drive engineering investments that reduce complexity and increase developer productivity.
Security Engineering
Implement security-by-design principles throughout application architecture and development.
Ensure solutions comply with enterprise security requirements, privacy standards, and operational good practices.
Partner with security teams to identify and mitigate application risks proactively.
Engineering Excellence and Collaboration
Conduct code reviews, architecture reviews, and technical design discussions to maintain high engineering standards.
Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Designers, Data Scientists, and Engineering teams across Microsoft.
Contribute to technical strategy, architecture decisions, and engineering good practices.
Continuous Innovation
Evaluate emerging technologies and AI capabilities to identify opportunities for innovation.
Leverage modern development tools including GitHub Copilot and AI-assisted engineering workflows to improve team effectiveness.
Foster a culture of experimentation, learning, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
10+ years of professional software engineering experience developing and shipping commercial software.
Good programming experience with one or more languages including C#, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or equivalent.
Experience building modern web applications and distributed systems.
Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs and cloud services.
Knowledge of software engineering fundamentals including object-oriented design, testing, performance optimization, and secure coding practices.
Experience working in Agile development environments.
Preferred Qualifications
10+ years of experience building enterprise-scale software products and services.
Experience developing AI-powered applications, Copilot experiences, intelligent agents, or conversational AI solutions.
Hands-on experience with Dynamics 365, Dataverse, Power Platform, Power Apps, and Power Automate.
Good expertise in C#, .NET, ASP.NET Core, and microservices-based architectures.
Experience developing modern front-end applications using React and TypeScript.
Deep knowledge of Azure services including App Services, Functions, Service Bus, Event Grid, Event Hubs, Azure Container Apps, and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
Experience with Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, NoSQL databases, and enterprise data platforms.
Good understanding of application security, identity, authentication, authorization, and secure development practices.
Experience building developer platforms and implementing platform engineering good practices.
Proven ability to influence technical direction across multiple teams and drive cross-organizational outcomes.
Good communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot and agent-based engineering workflows.
