The Scale & Partner AI Experiences (SPAI) organization is transforming how Microsoft partners engage, grow, and succeed through AI-first platforms and intelligent partner experiences. Our mission is to accelerate Microsoft’s commercial growth through scalable, secure, and AI-powered partner platforms. The team focuses on Partner Center Foundations, Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) experiences, security, account onboarding, and partner lifecycle management.We are looking for a Software Engineer who is passionate about building cloud-scale services, secure platforms, and modern developer experiences. In this role, you will contribute to the development of foundational services that power partner onboarding, account enrollment, identity management, security, and partner ecosystem experiences used by millions of partners and customers worldwide. You will work alongside experienced engineers and product leaders to design, build, and operate highly scalable, reliable, and secure distributed systems while growing your technical expertise and impact.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, test, and maintain scalable cloud services and APIs that support partner onboarding, account enrollment, and platform capabilities.
- Build reliable and maintainable software components using modern engineering practices.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to deliver customer-facing and platform features.Implement secure coding practices and contribute to authentication, authorization, identity, and security-related features.
- Help improve platform reliability, availability, performance, and operational excellence.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and validation activities to maintain high engineering quality standards.
- Contribute to monitoring, diagnostics, and automation to improve operational efficiency.
- Participate in design discussions and contribute ideas that improve architecture, engineering processes, and developer productivity.
- Leverage AI-powered development tools and engineering best practices to improve productivity and software quality.
- Explore opportunities to use intelligent automation and AI-enabled solutions in engineering workflows and partner experiences.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience developing applications using one or more programming languages such as C#, .NET, Java, C++, or similar technologies.
- Experience developing REST APIs, web services, or cloud applications.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Microsoft Azure or other cloud platforms.
- Knowledge of distributed systems, microservices, or cloud-native architectures.
- Familiarity with authentication, authorization, identity, or security engineering concepts.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and automated testing.
- Experience working with Kubernetes, containers, or modern cloud infrastructure.
- Interest in AI, machine learning, intelligent automation, or AI-assisted software development.
- Strong communication skills with a customer-focused mindset.
