Responsibilities
- Implement, test, and ship features and components within our Azure services, working from designs you help shape.
- Write clean, maintainable, high-quality code and participate actively in code and design reviews.
- Debug and resolve issues across the stack — from service logic and data layer to Azure resource interactions — using telemetry, logs, and diagnostic tooling.
- Share in live-site ownership for your team's services: monitor health, respond to incidents, and follow through on root-cause fixes and preventive improvements.
- Collaborate with partner teams, product managers, and engineers across the organization to deliver end-to-end capabilities.
- Ability to leverage AI for daily work, continuously deepen your expertise in distributed systems, cloud compute, virtualization, and remote desktop technologies.
- You'll work primarily in C# on .NET, building distributed services on Azure with technologies such as CosmosDB, async workflow orchestration, and ARM-based resource management.
Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- OR equivalent experience.
Additional or preferred qualifications
Other Requirements: Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, AND 6+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, AND 4+ years of such experience.
- OR equivalent experience.
- Experience building or operating cloud services, ideally on Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Familiarity with C#/.NET, distributed systems concepts, or NoSQL data stores.
- Exposure to virtualization, hypervisors, or remote desktop and streaming protocols is a plus.
- Experience participating in on-call rotation or live-site support.
- Solid communication skills and a collaborative approach to working within a team and across groups.
