Our team plays a critical role in the development and delivery of Windows across a broad range of devices and silicon, from Arm-based laptops to gaming consoles. We maintain the health of the Windows application ecosystem, ensuring that every Windows OS release remains compatible with the vast breadth of applications that customers, enterprises, and partners rely on every day. As part of Windows Silicon & Systems Integration, we are responsible for the quality and compatibility of both in-market devices and new hardware, spanning multiple form factors, silicon vendors, and customer segments. In recent years the OS underwent significant rejuvenation, and we continue to evolve the platform to support new devices and AI features. We are expanding our team to ensure we succeed - there has never been a better time to come and work on Windows.
As a Software Engineer in our team in Dublin, your work will impact on all development teams globally that write features for Windows. You will deliver solutions that ensure critical app compatibility issues, introduced by the Windows development process, never get exposed to customers. You will strive to constantly improve our results by leveraging AI and analyzing data to answer business questions and guide our engineering decisions.

Responsibilities
- Develop innovative tools and solutions to discover regressions before they are merged into the vast OS codebase, using the latest technology in software engineering, AI and data analytics to do so.
- Contribute feature work to our automation framework which is used by our organization to author test content.
- Work on enhancing the test authoring experience by developing AI solutions and leveraging cutting edge MCP’s.
- Collaborate closely with engineers based in Dublin, Redmond, Nairobi and beyond to tackle compatibility issues in Windows.

Software Engineering IC2 - The typical base pay range for this role across Ireland is € 49,500.00 - € 83,900.00 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
