Overview

Project Opal is building autonomous AI agents to help people offload manual, repetitive, multi-step workflows across the tools they already use. Opal uses familiar software to execute work on behalf of users and helps organizations scale beyond their current capacity.

We're looking for a Senior Product Manager with exceptional product sense to help define what work looks like in an AI-first world.

The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguity. They create clarity where none exists, push products forward when the path isn't obvious, and have strong instincts for identifying opportunities worth pursuing.

The best candidates aren't simply building AI features. They use AI as part of their own product-building process, rapidly prototype ideas, challenge assumptions, and turn emerging capabilities into products customers love. They are naturally curious, experiment constantly with new tools and technologies, and have strong intuition for where AI can fundamentally change how work gets done.

You'll work at the intersection of customers, design, engineering, and AI to identify meaningful problems, validate new opportunities, and shape the future of digital workers in M365.

Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. As employees we come together with a growth mindset, innovate to empower others, and collaborate to realize our shared goals. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.

  • Define product strategy, priorities, and roadmap for key areas of Project Opal.

  • Translate customer needs, product intuition, and emerging AI capabilities into product investments that deliver meaningful value.

  • Prototype ideas, validate assumptions, and accelerate learning through experimentation and direct customer feedback.

  • Partner closely with Engineering, Design, and Research to build and ship new product experiences.

  • Navigate ambiguous and fast-moving problem spaces, creating clarity, alignment, and momentum across teams.

  • Help define the future of AI-powered work and the role Opal plays within Microsoft 365.
