About the role

The Security Specialist is a senior, customer-facing business leader responsible for driving cybersecurity transformation across enterprise and public sector organisations.

You will lead strategic customer engagements, shaping security outcomes aligned to business risk, AI transformation, and regulatory requirements - while owning the end-to-end sales lifecycle and orchestrating a virtual team across sales, technical, and partner resources.

This role combines consultative selling, technical credibility, and business leadership to accelerate adoption of the Microsoft Security platform and deliver measurable customer impact.



Responsibilities
  • Build trusted relationships with CISOs, CIOs and other senior business and technology leaders, helping them address complex security challenges and achieve their transformation goals.
  • Lead strategic customer engagements across the Microsoft Security portfolio, positioning security as a driver of business resilience, innovation and growth.
  • Develop, manage and close a healthy pipeline of opportunities, driving revenue growth, new customer acquisition and expansion within existing accounts.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor, translating customer security, compliance and risk requirements into business-focused solutions and long-term strategies.Lead virtual teams of sales, technical and partner resources to deliver successful customer outcomes and accelerate deal execution.
  • Align Microsoft Security solutions to customer priorities, including cloud modernisation, data protection, regulatory compliance, security operations and AI transformation.
  • Build executive-level relationships and influence decision-making across customer organisations.
  • Stay ahead of cybersecurity trends, emerging threats and market developments to provide strategic guidance and thought leadership.
  • Collaborate closely with partners and internal stakeholders to identify opportunities, remove barriers and maximise customer success.
  • Drive customer adoption and value realisation through ongoing engagement, ensuring customers achieve measurable outcomes from their Microsoft investments.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • 10+ years of solution sales or pre-sales experience in cloud technologies, with a focus on Cybersecurity, Compliance, Governance and Risk; or
  • A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field, plus 8+ years of relevant solution sales or pre-sales experience; or
  • A Master's degree (e.g., MBA, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline) plus 7+ years of relevant solution sales or pre-sales experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience selling or supporting enterprise security solutions, including familiarity with leading security platforms and technologies.
  • Experience working with or against competitive security vendors and solutions.
  • Strong understanding of modern security operations, threat protection, identity, compliance and cloud security concepts.
  • Proven ability to engage and influence senior business and technical decision-makers.
