The Global Partner GTM, Programs & Operations (GPO) organization brings together go‑to‑market strategy, programs, and platforms to accelerate growth and improve partner experience across all partner segments.
As a Senior Partner Marketing Manager (Japan PMM), you will own the end‑to‑end partner GTM strategy and execution for Japan, working across priority distributors, resellers, and partner ecosystems to accelerate Microsoft Cloud growth. You will operate at the intersection of global programs, regional strategy, and local market execution, partnering closely with Japan Partner Sales, Solution Area leaders, global program teams, and Asia PMM peers.
This role offers the opportunity to shape scalable, repeatable partner GTM motions in one of Microsoft’s most strategic and complex markets, while influencing global program evolution through strong field‑backed insights and execution excellence.
Responsibilities
- Own the partner marketing strategy and execution for Japan, translating global GTM priorities into localized, high‑impact partner plans.
- Lead end‑to‑end GTM execution including campaigns, workshops, solution launches, and partner activations aligned to Microsoft Cloud priorities (AI, Data, Security, Copilot, CAIP, AIBS).
- Create and land “better‑together” value propositions, messaging, and joint offers with partners, including co‑marketing, joint events, and PR moments.
- Partner closely with Japan Partner Managers, Sales, and Solution Area teams to understand partner business priorities and align GTM motions to deliver measurable revenue and pipeline impact.
- Drive program excellence across global initiatives (e.g.,Azure Accelerate, AI programs), ensuring strong proof of execution, compliance, and operational rigor.
- Define and track clear KPIs and MTM, measuring impact to pipeline, Azure consumption, partner activation, and ROI on marketing investments.
- Leverage global investments and playbooks while shaping local execution models that can scale across Asia and inform global best practices.
- Act as a trusted advisor and thought leader to partners, bringing industry, technical, and GTM insights to influence partner strategy and execution.
Lead cross‑functional v‑teams and partner PODs in a highly matrixed environment, driving alignment, accountability, and execution velocity.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in customer‑ or partner‑facing roles, including partner marketing, GTM, strategy, business development, or field marketing or 5+ years working directly with the partner ecosystem (ISV, SI, distributor, reseller, MSP), with demonstrated ability to influence partner investment and execution.
- Language fluency both in Japanese and English.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Cloud technologies and how partners build, sell, and extend cloud solutions.
- Proven expertise in product marketing and/or audience marketing, including modern marketing practices, messaging, value propositions, and campaign execution.
- Ability to articulate both business and technical value of cloud solutions to senior partner and customer stakeholders.
- Demonstrated success in building repeatable GTM motions across demand generation, partner activation, workshops, and sales readiness.
- Highly organized, results‑driven self‑starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple complex workstreams simultaneously.
- Comfortable operating in ambiguous, fast‑changing, matrixed environments, with strong collaboration and stakeholder‑management skills.
- Strong storytelling and executive communication skills, including experience preparing executive‑level proposals, business reviews, and presentations.
- Executive presence and confidence to engage senior leaders, handle pushback, and navigate high‑pressure situations with professionalism.
