About the AI & Biometrics Team:
The AI & Biometrics team is building a biometric iris recognition system that can work reliably with more than a billion users to assess humanness online. This is the key to ensure account uniqueness and authenticity for Worldcoin and its downstream applications like the WLD token distribution, online governance, etc. We use cutting-edge machine learning models deployed on custom hardware to enable high-quality image acquisition, identification, and fraud prevention, all while requiring minimal user interaction.
We are building an iris recognition and fraud detection engine that works on the 1bn people scale. Therefore, its performance needs to outperform all the current iris recognition technologies. We leverage our powerful custom-made iris recognition and presentation attack detection device, the Orb, combined with the latest research from the field of AI and Deep Learning.
About the Opportunity
As a Technical Program Manager, you’ll work on one of the most ambitious products of our time, and will partner with industry leading peers in areas such as on-device machine learning, novel cryptographic research, and privacy-preserving deduplication and authentication.
You will help lead existing and new programs though full release lifecycle, partnering closely with Hardware & Optics, Software, Market Operations, Finance, Legal, and Marketing/Comms teams. Your work helps to ensure that we consistently ship state of the art products and technology that allow for optimal performance, yield strong results, are delivered on time and can efficiently scale to billions of active users.

In this role you will:

As a Technical Program Manager (TPM) with Tools for Humanity, you will:
Lead Program Management for AI & Biometrics Team: Manage multiple technical and non-technical programs in parallel, ensuring alignment across teams and delivering high-impact outcomes efficiently aligned with business objectives and timelines
Own Key Product Deliverables: Drive the transition from proof-of-concept to production release, working closely with engineering and operations teams to keep rollouts frictionless
Collaborate Across Teams: Partner, align, and lead cross functionally across TfH and World including world-class talent in the Hardware, Software, Mobile, Product, Legal, and Policy teams ensuring tight coordination and communication to meet shared objectives.
Ensure High-Velocity Execution: Identify blockers, propose solutions (technical and non-technical), and drive execution to maintain momentum and achieve program milestones.
Track and Report Progress: Develop and maintain reporting frameworks that provide visibility into program velocity, resource allocation, notable risks, and progress towards goals for senior leadership.
Maximize Resource Impact: Evaluate resource investments and ensure programs are aligned with World ID’s strategic priorities to deliver the highest possible impact.
Drive Operational Excellence: Establish and uphold best practices in program management to improve team efficiency, alignment, and accountability.

Manage Internal Tools & Documentation: Oversee and own project tracking tools (ex: Linear) and ensure thorough, consistent documentation across teams
About You:
5+ years of experience in technical program management, engineering leadership, or related roles, preferably in high-growth or fast-paced environments.
Strong ability to manage large-scale technical programs, with a solid understanding of software development lifecycles and system architecture.
Comfortable navigating ambiguity and making informed decisions with minimal direction.
Experience building release and project plans with a thorough understanding of dependency management using frameworks such as Gantt charts, build matrices, PRDs, etc
Knowledge of privacy, security, and decentralized technologies; experience in Web3, blockchain, or digital identity is a plus.
Passionate about building scalable systems that prioritize user experience, privacy, and security, with a commitment to World’s mission.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience; advanced technical credentials are a plus.
