About WorkWhile

WorkWhile is on a mission to help workers earn a better living and live better lives. More than 80 million Americans work hourly jobs — often with unpredictable schedules, near-minimum wages, and few benefits — leading to real financial instability. We're fixing that.

WorkWhile is evolving from a high-growth labor marketplace into a comprehensive workforce platform, expanding our product suite to include Newday (our SaaS workforce management system) and WorkWhile Wallet (our fintech solution for worker earnings and credit). The result is a multi-business-model company with a genuinely complex, interesting financial landscape.

Backed by Khosla Ventures and recognized by the Inc. 5000 for 10x growth, we're disrupting the $650 billion staffing and recruiting market.

The Opportunity

WorkWhile is looking for an experienced operator with a strong analytical skill set to lead our Events & Hospitality marketplace supply function. You will be responsible for setting and executing the strategy to enable us to win in this industry. You will own a P&L and work cross-functionally to deliver strong marketplace performance and economics.

What You'll Do:

  • Own the P&L for our Events & Hospitality industry vertical, allocating spend across levers to achieve company goals

  • Manage day-to-day marketplace operations, making sure we are matching supply and demand in all of our markets - and striving to make this more efficient through process improvements and better tooling

  • Craft & execute on quarterly and yearly roadmaps to improve Hospitality performance in the long run, developing playbooks & product backlog

  • Collaborate with the data science team to forecast and manage WorkWhile’s future labor needs, understand supply and demand, and help optimize models

  • Manage the worker acquisition and re-engagement funnels to increase worker supply in new and existing markets

  • Develop the metrics and dashboards to help balance the marketplace and measure success.

  • Support account management and sales as a strategic labor strategy partner, including writing decks, performing data analysis, and participating on customer calls

What We're Looking For:

  • 3-4+ years experience in a strategic consulting, finance, or early stage startup role

  • Ability to drive projects to completion who is excited to own both strategy & execution

  • A strong “Bias for action” - you don’t let perfect get in the way of good

  • Experience managing cross-functional projects & outcomes

  • Proficiency in SQL and data analysis is a must

  • Commitment to improving the lives of low-wage workers

  • Willingness to work a shift once a quarter to keep learning

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive base salary + equity in a high-growth, venture-backed company

  • Hybrid work culture with office hubs in SF, NY, Seattle & Toronto.

  • In-person company off-sites

  • Medical, dental & vision coverage

  • Unlimited PTO

  • 401(k) with employer match

  • WFH stipend to support your home office setup
