About Primer

Our goal is simple: help the next generation of kids be more ambitious, more creative, and learn to think for themselves. To do that, we're creating a new education system— one that takes kids seriously.

At Primer, students learn at their own pace, pursue their passions, and get the 1:1 support they deserve every day. We started Primer because standard schools can’t possibly make space for every kid’s curiosities. But a small school connected to a big network can. Our goal with Primer isn’t to teach you everything under the sun—it’s actually the opposite. We want you to go deep on whatever it is that drives you. Because we think passion is the surest path to learning. And the world could use more of it. Come join us, and do your life work.

About the role

We’re hiring an Admissions Representative to join our team and help take our impact to the next level as we enroll families for the 2024 school year. During these visits, you will present the educational model, curriculum, and benefits using a visual deck to help families understand the unique value proposition.

  • Assess family fit: Determine if prospective families align with Primer Microschools' values, educational approach, and expectations in order to ensure a successful partnership.

  • Answer questions and address concerns: Provide clear and accurate responses to any inquiries from families about Primer.

  • Maintain scheduling: Coordinate and manage appointments with families, ensuring timely follow-up and efficient time management.

  • Record results: Input and update relevant information in sales systems such as Salesforce and Salesloft to track communication with families, their level of interest, and any other pertinent data.

Qualifications/Skills

  • Sales and/or admissions experience: Prior experience working in a sales, customer service, or admissions role, preferably in an educational setting, demonstrating the ability to build relationships and meet enrollment goals. Experience with using CRM and sales engagement platforms.

  • Strong communication skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey information and address concerns from prospective families.

  • Presentation skills: Proficiency in delivering engaging presentations and the ability to adapt the content based on the audience's needs and interests.

  • Time management and organizational skills: The ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and manage schedules efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Adaptability and flexibility: Willingness to adjust to new situations, learn from feedback, and continuously improve the admissions process.

  • Team player mentality: A strong sense of collaboration and the ability to work effectively with colleagues and cross-functional teams to achieve shared goals.

  • Professionalism and brand alignment: A commitment to representing Primer’s values, mission, and educational approach with integrity and enthusiasm.
