Job Description:

WideOrbit is seeking a Director, Data & Analytics to define and execute the company’s data platform and analytics strategy. This role is responsible for building and scaling products that transform raw operational, audience, inventory, and revenue data into actionable insights for customers and internal stakeholders.

This is a high-impact leadership role at the intersection of data engineering, analytics, and product strategy. You will lead a team of Product Managers, partner deeply with Engineering and business leaders, and drive platforms that support reporting, forecasting, optimization, automation, and advanced analytics across WideOrbit’s product portfolio.

Here's what success will look like:

In this role, you will be responsible for defining and executing the strategy for our Databridge and WO Analytics product(s), expanding data source integration capabilities, and enabling AI solutions.

Strategic Leadership & Vision

  • Define and own the product vision and strategy for WideOrbit’s data and programming platforms.

  • Establish a multi-year roadmap covering data ingestion, modeling, analytics, reporting, and insight delivery.

  • Align data product strategy with company-level objectives, customer outcomes, and platform scalability.

  • Serve as a thought leader for data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Build, lead, and mentor a team of Product Managers focused on data infrastructure, analytics, and insight products.

  • Set clear goals, success metrics, and development plans for the team.

  • Foster a culture of accountability, pragmatism, and customer-centric execution.

  • Partner closely with Engineering, Sales, Customer Success, and Professional Services.

Product Execution & Delivery

  • Own the end-to-end lifecycle of data and analytics products, from concept through delivery and adoption.

  • Prioritize initiatives that balance customer value, technical feasibility, and long-term platform health.

  • Guide product execution using Agile best practices, including backlog management, sprint planning, and release readiness.

  • Ensure analytics products are reliable, performant, secure, and scalable.

Data Platform & Analytics Capabilities

  • Lead strategy for:

    • Data ingestion and integration pipelines

    • Data models and semantic layers

    • Reporting and dashboards

    • Customer-facing and internal analytics

    • Forecasting, optimization, and insight generation

  • Partner with engineering to define standards for data quality, governance, observability, and access control.

  • Drive alignment on KPIs, metrics definitions, and analytical consistency across products.

Customer & Market Engagement

  • Engage directly with customers to understand reporting needs, decision workflows, and unmet analytical gaps.

  • Translate customer and market needs into clear product requirements and prioritization decisions.

  • Monitor industry trends in media data, analytics, and measurement to ensure WideOrbit remains competitive.

Executive & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Communicate product strategy, progress, and tradeoffs clearly to executive leadership.

  • Partner with Sales and Marketing on positioning, messaging, and go-to-market for analytics capabilities.

  • Enable internal teams with trusted, actionable data to support operational and strategic decisions.

To thrive in this role, we're looking for:

  • 8+ years of product management experience, including 3+ years leading product strategy and teams.

  • Deep experience delivering data platforms, analytics products, or insight-driven SaaS solutions.

  • Strong understanding of data architectures, analytics workflows, and modern data ecosystems.

  • Proven ability to translate complex data concepts into clear, customer-facing value.

  • Experience working closely with data engineering and platform engineering teams.

  • Strong analytical mindset with a bias toward measurable outcomes and business impact.

  • Experience operating in Agile product development environments.

  • Exceptional communication skills, with comfort presenting to executives and customers.

Bonus Experience

  • Media, advertising, or revenue systems data

  • Forecasting, yield optimization, or performance analytics

  • Cross-platform or multi-product data environments

Location: This position can be based in any of our offices. Remote/Telecommute will also be considered.

Pay Range: $160,000 - $190,000 + Annual Variable Bonus

Compensation:

The compensation range listed, and a general description of other compensation and benefits will apply to this position. Various factors are considered to determine compensation ranges including market data, location, experience, qualifications, and skills. WideOrbit reserves the right to pay more or less than the salary and benefit information posted.
