Job Description:

WideOrbit has an exciting role open for a Digital Sales Engineer, focusing on a range of WideOrbit products. In this role, you’ll demonstrate our software to clients, answer technical questions (RFPs), and assist the Sales team throughout the sales process. You’ll maintain databases, work closely with our product development team to recommend enhancements that our clients’ request, and stay in touch with the product roadmaps.

The Digital Sales Engineer is responsible for providing pre-sales technical support to the sales team and engaging with potential clients to understand their needs and demonstrate how our software solutions can fulfill those needs. This role involves a deep understanding of the software products, effective communication skills, and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into value propositions for clients.

To ensure your success as a Sales Engineer at WideOrbit, you need to be an ambitious, confident, and a self-motivated individual, with previous WideOrbit software experience, Sales Engineer experience, or another technical customer facing role. You need to be passionate about innovative technology, technical sales and articulating value to customers and prospects.

Here is what success will look like:

  • Technical Expertise and Support:
    • Provide in-depth technical knowledge to the sales team and potential clients.
    • Assist in responding to RFPs (Request for Proposals) and RFIs (Request for Information).
    • Conduct technical presentations and product demonstrations to prospective clients.
    • Tailor demonstrations to specific client needs, showing how our software solutions can address their challenges.
  • Customer Engagement:
    • Work closely with clients to understand their business requirements and objectives.
    • Collaborate with the sales team to develop and deliver customized solutions that meet client needs.
    • Act as a technical advisor and resource for the client throughout the sales process.
  • Solution Design:
    • Collaborate with the product management and development teams to design and propose tailored solutions for clients.
    • Create and deliver technical proposals, including solution design, architecture, and implementation strategies.
  • Sales Support:
    • Support the sales team in achieving revenue targets by delivering strong technical presentations and demonstrating the value of our software solutions.
    • Provide feedback from clients and the market to the product management team to guide future product development.
  • Training and Documentation:
    • Train and mentor the sales team on the technical aspects of our software products.
    • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including solution blueprints, deployment guides, and customer use cases.
  • Post Sales Support:
    • Collaborate with the implementation and support teams to ensure a smooth transition from sales to deployment.
    • Address any technical issues that arise during the early stages of deployment.

To thrive in this role, we’re looking for:

  • A solution-focused professional with a strong understanding of the digital marketing/advertising landscape.
  • 3+ years of programmatic media sales experience at an online publisher, ad network, ad exchange, ad server, SEM platform, DSP, Agency Trading Desk, or other online advertising roles.
  • A strong understanding of the digital sales order management system sales landscape and media industry, as well as the ability to explain complex concepts simply and succinctly.
  • A strong understanding of DSP’s, SSP’s, CTV, OTV & Publisher landscape along with the digital sales processes and workflows.
  • Advanced presentation skills; and ability and comfort articulating detailed system functionality to small or large groups – both in person and via remote meeting.
  • Experience and familiarity with our products and line of business a plus.
  • Consultative sales approach and ability to break down technical aspects to a non-technical audience.
  • Detail oriented and able to work with deadlines.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in working with the Microsoft Dynamics platform is a plus.
  • Customer-focused with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time within the U.S.

Location:

This position can be based in any of our offices. Remote/Telecommute will also be considered.

Pay Range:

$110,000 - $120,000

Compensation:

The compensation range listed, and general description of other compensation and benefits will apply to this position. Various factors are considered to determine compensation ranges including market data, location, experience, qualifications, and skills. WideOrbit reserves the right to pay more or less than the salary and benefit information posted.
