Job Description:

WideOrbit is seeking a skilled Software Engineer to collaborate on designing, developing, and testing new features for our Fusion products. At WideOrbit, each engineer is integral to designing and implementing very large, complex applications for major media clients. You'll contribute to our cutting-edge programmatic digital media ad solutions, making a direct impact with your code. We develop robust webservices, intricate data pipelines, and advanced UI and reporting portals. This is an exceptional chance to collaborate with a team of skilled, welcoming engineers and advance our scalable development and deployment infrastructure, shaping the future of media and advertising.

Here is what success will look like:

  • Collaborate closely with your team to conceptualize, develop, and thoroughly test innovative features for our products.
  • Spearhead the creation of end-to-end solutions tailored to address specific business requirements.
  • Design and implement APIs that facilitate seamless access to diverse data sources and backend components, bolstering our web services and user portals.
  • Contribute to the design and execution of advanced user portals and interfaces, enhancing user experiences.
  • Engineer solutions and web services for our customers, prioritizing high availability, rapid response times, and superior throughput.
  • Uphold industry-best design and coding standards, incorporating unit testing, and producing clear, adaptable, and maintainable code.
  • Develop and integrate solutions, APIs, and components to seamlessly interface with other WideOrbit offerings and services.
  • Ensure comprehensive documentation of all developed systems and processes.
  • Engineer high-performance distributed containerized systems to optimize system efficiency.
  • Refine and improve existing architecture and design to meet evolving performance and scalability demands.
  • Collaborate with product management, QA, and documentation teams to deliver high quality, fully functional software releases.
  • Partner with support and project teams to continually enhance WideOrbit software, aligning with current customer requirements and project objectives.

To thrive in this role, we’re looking for:

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in C# and .Net development; demonstrated mastery in object-oriented design principles.
  • Proficiency with relational database programming such as PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server, Transact-SQL programming is a plus.
  • Proven track record in writing code for multi-threaded systems deployed in containerized cloud environments.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment, tackling obstacles with a problem solving, can-do attitude.
  • Full stack development experience is highly desirable.
  • Strong algorithmic skills, adept at applying design patterns to both new and existing code.
  • Experience in Web UI technology frameworks such as React, Angular or comparable is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Docker, Containerization and Serverless Technologies is a plus.
  • Dedication to thorough unit testing and troubleshooting of complex code, whether authored by yourself or others.
  • Passionate for technology, coupled with genuine empathy for internal and external customers, and adeptness at managing competing priorities.
  • Bachelor's in Computer Science, Information Science, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Location:

This is a telecommute/remote position.

Pay Range:

$105,000 - $130,000

Compensation:

The compensation range listed, and general description of other compensation and benefits will apply to this position. Various factors are considered to determine compensation ranges including market data, location, experience, qualifications, and skills. WideOrbit reserves the right to pay more or less than the salary and benefit information posted.
