Position Summary

As a Senior DevOps – Tech Lead, you will own the design, scalability, and evolution of our DevOps and platform infrastructure.

You will work closely with software engineers, SREs, architects, and external SaaS DevOps teams to ensure our systems are reliable, scalable, and aligned across security platforms, AI/data pipelines, and hybrid environments (SaaS & on-prem).

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and evolution of CI/CD pipelines and platform infrastructure across multiple environments as part of F5 SaaS and on-prem solutions.
  • Ensure DevOps infrastructure and production environments are highly available, reliable, scalable, and performant.
  • Drive and lead cross-team DevOps initiatives involving internal teams and external SaaS partners.
  • Define and promote best practices around system reliability, deployment processes, and operational standards.
  • Collaborate with software engineers, SREs, architects, and external teams to deliver robust production solutions across security and data-driven systems.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong ownership mindset with the ability to lead technical initiatives end-to-end.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills across multiple teams and disciplines.
  • Ability to drive alignment and influence technical decisions across teams, including external partners.
  • Deep understanding of production environments, reliability, and scalability challenges.
  • Ability to operate effectively in complex, multi-environment (SaaS and on-prem) systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on building robust and maintainable systems.

Qualifications

Required

  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps or SRE roles.
  • Proven experience leading technical initiatives and driving architecture or system-level decisions.
  • Expertise in cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
  • Strong hands-on experience with Terraform and infrastructure automation.
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals across multiple layers and protocols.
  • Proven experience with Linux environments and Kubernetes, including workload deployment and lifecycle management.
  • Strong programming skills with proficiency in at least one language (Python, Golang).
  • Proven track record of owning production systems and CI/CD pipelines in large-scale distributed environments.

Preferred

  • Experience building or supporting AI/ML or data pipelines (e.g., Databricks or similar platforms).
  • Experience operating complex, large-scale production environments.
  • Proven track record of leading initiatives in large-scale environments.
  • Familiarity with F5 products, especially:
    • F5 Distributed Cloud (SaaS)
    • BIG-IP
    • NGINX
