Position Summary
As a Senior Operations Analyst for Workforce Identity, your primary responsibility will be supporting and optimizing Identity provider (IdP) related operations, particularly user onboarding, lifecycle management, and governance. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining system availability, facilitating automation, and ensuring a seamless user experience while adhering to security and compliance standards. In addition to Okta and Entra, you will contribute to broader Privileged Access Management (PAM) initiatives. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Workforce Identity, this role requires advanced technical expertise, a proactive approach to automation, and collaborative engagement with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the primary operational expert for Okta, focusing on configuration, deployment, and management of identity workflows.
Lead efforts to automate recurring identity operations tasks, using tools like Okta Workflows, PowerShell, and Python scripting.
Assist in the day-to-day administration and operational maintenance of Microsoft Entra ID, focusing on user authentication, access provisioning, and directory synchronization.
Develop scalable solutions to ensure the continued efficiency and reliability of identity management processes.
Monitor and maintain the availability and performance of Workforce Identity platforms, for both Okta and Entra ID.
Troubleshoot and resolve identity-related incidents and access requests promptly to deliver excellent customer service.
Ensure internal security policies and regulatory requirements (e.g., SOX, GDPR) are adhered to across all identity operations.
Provide audit-ready documentation and support governance initiatives in identity and access management.
Partner with IT, Security, and HR teams to align identity operations with broader organizational needs.
Actively contribute to the development and execution of Zero Trust principles.
Track system health and performance metrics.
Generate operational reports and insights to evaluate and improve identity services.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in Identity & Access Management operations, with a focus on Okta and Entra administration.
Expertise in Okta implementation, including advanced capabilities such as Workflows, API integrations, and lifecycle management.
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) for basic user management, group policies, and role assignments.
Familiarity with Privileged Access Management tools (e.g., CyberArk, BeyondTrust).
Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve identity-related incidents effectively.
In-depth understanding of compliance frameworks and security best practices.
Excellent communication and customer service skills, with a detail-oriented mindset.
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced experience with automation tools, particularly Okta Workflows and scripting languages like PowerShell and Python.
Experience in planning and executing migrations from Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) to Okta, including identity mapping, policy configuration, and minimizing user disruption during transitions.
Knowledge of Zero Trust principles and identity governance frameworks.
Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, Okta Certified Professional, or equivalent.
