Role Overview:
F5 is seeking a consultant based in Tokyo, Japan, to support the deployment, integration, and lifecycle management of our enterprise security solutions. This role involves working with Fortune 500 and Global 2000 companies, ensuring the security and optimization of their applications against malicious and automated attacks.
As a key technical resource, you will play an essential role in delivering high-quality security solutions, working closely with customers, internal teams, and senior consultants. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals with 3+ years of experience in technical consulting, system integration, or cybersecurity to advance their careers in a fast-growing, dynamic industry.

What you’ll do:
Lead and participate in the design, deployment, and integration of F5’s enterprise security solutions, including application security, bot defense, and web application firewalls.
Act as a trusted technical advisor for customers, providing guidance on security best practices, architecture, and optimization strategies.
Own the delivery of technical components for integration, including website analysis, configurations, testing, debugging, documentation, and go-live support.
Identify technical risks and provide mitigation strategies to ensure a seamless customer experience.
Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering, product management, and support, to ensure timely and high-quality technical solutions.
Contribute to knowledge-sharing efforts by documenting best practices, customer success stories, and internal technical resources.
Provide ongoing post-deployment support and lifecycle management for customers, ensuring long-term success.
Support pre-sales and proof-of-concept (PoC) engagements in coordination with the sales and technical teams.
What you’ll bring:
3+ years of experience in technical consulting, professional services, system integration, or cybersecurity.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
Understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, TLS) and web application architectures.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in complex environments.
Excellent communication and customer-facing skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Fluent in Japanese and English (both written and spoken).
Strong understanding of web and network security technologies, including WAF, Bot Defense, API security, and application delivery controllers.
Hands-on experience with multi-cloud networking, CDN technologies, data center networking, and application load balancing.
