Job Description: Manager, Marketing Systems Manager

Position Overview:
As a Manager of Marketing Operations Systems and Platforms, you will be responsible for overseeing the seamless operations of tools and platforms involved in marketing processes, such as Marketo and associated third-party integrations. Your role will focus on ensuring reliable and scalable system-to-system integrations, while leading a small team of developers. This role provides a combination of people leadership, strategic guidance on platform decisions, and technical solution architecture support. Additionally, you will ensure marketing data compliance to an established taxonomy, avoiding silos, and enabling insightful analysis.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Team Leadership and Guidance:

o Lead, develop, and mentor a team of marketing technology professionals, supporting their career growth.

o Partner with cross-functional teams in the Digital (IT) organization to ensure alignment of marketing technology goals with broader company objectives.

2. Strategic Oversight of Marketing Platforms:

o Act as a manager for marketing operations platforms, providing strategic direction on tool and platform decisions.

o Guide the development of integration roadmaps in collaboration with marketing operations and other organizational teams.

3. System Operations and Integration Management:

o Oversee the reliable operation and scalability of systems such as Marketo and third-party tools.

o Provide solution architecture support to design and maintain robust integrations between marketing tools.

4. Data Modeling and Taxonomy Compliance:

o Advise on and validate marketing data models within Marketo and other connected systems to eliminate silos.

o Ensure adherence to a marketing taxonomy, enabling connected and analyzable data across platforms.

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration:

o Work with engineering, product, sales, marketing, and customer support teams to identify business challenges and align solutions.

o Represent marketing technology in discussions about company-wide system improvements and opportunities for streamlining operations.

6. Process Improvement:

o Identify and propose process improvements to enhance team performance and customer satisfaction.

o Promote automation and efficiency gains in availability, scaling, monitoring, and operational capacity.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

· Proven leadership experience managing marketing technology teams or similar operational functions.

· Advanced understanding of marketing operations platforms, tool integration, and overall business lines.

· The ability to translate analytical and technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

· Experience in developing and delivering system integration roadmaps and documenting system architecture.

· Familiarity with data governance, taxonomy, and modeling in marketing tools like Marketo.

· Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

· Expertise in collaborating across teams to synthesize business challenges into actionable plans.

· Experience driving efficiency and reliability improvements in complex systems.

The annual base pay for this position is: $156,240.00 - $234,360.00

F5 maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, geographic locations, and market conditions, as well as to reflect F5’s differing products, industries, and lines of business.
