Senior Product Marketing Manager Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Product Marketing Manager with experience in B2B enterprise technology, networking, and service provider markets to lead product and solution marketing for F5’s Service Provider / Telco portfolio. This role primarily supports the Service Provider business unit and owns messaging, positioning, go-to-market strategy, and portfolio storytelling for products and use cases serving communications service providers, mobile operators, broadband providers, and telecom infrastructure teams.

This role requires someone who can work across both the product and solution layers. You will define how individual products are positioned in market while shaping broader solution narratives tied to customer priorities and business outcomes. Areas of focus may include F5 BIG-IP CGNAT, F5 BIG-IP Cloud-Native Edition, F5 BIG-IP Advanced Firewall Manager, and F5 BIG-IP Cloud-Native Network Functions, along with adjacent service provider technologies spanning traffic management, DNS, security, network infrastructure, and cloud-native telecom architectures.

Position Summary

The Senior Product Marketing Manager operates across both the product and solution layers, shaping how F5’s service provider portfolio addresses customer needs, market opportunities, and buying motions. This role drives product and solution strategy, competitive positioning, and narrative consistency across launches, campaigns, field enablement, analyst engagement, and external communications.

Working across the Service Provider business unit, Product Management, Sales, Sales Engineering, and Corporate Marketing, this role ensures F5’s value is clearly differentiated and relevant for service providers and telecom infrastructure teams globally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, analyst perspectives, and competitive positioning to inform product and solution strategy.

  • Define differentiated value propositions, messaging, and portfolio narratives aligned to customer priorities, buying motions, and target personas.

  • Lead go-to-market planning for service provider products and related solutions in partnership with Product Management, Sales, and Marketing.

  • Develop presentations, playbooks, battlecards, case studies, and FAQs to help sales and partners position and sell effectively.

  • Create product- and solution-focused content, including blogs, webinars, videos, customer stories, and launch materials.

  • Engage with customers and field teams to validate use cases, gather feedback, and strengthen messaging and go-to-market execution.

  • Represent F5 with customers, partners, analysts, and industry groups to build market credibility and support portfolio awareness.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, computer science, engineering, business, or a related field; MBA/MA/MS preferred

  • 10+ years of relevant service provider or telecommunications product marketing experience

  • Strong understanding of customer-centric marketing, solution positioning, and value-based messaging

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to translate complex technical topics into clear, compelling messages

  • Demonstrated project management skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally

  • Executive-level presentation skills with the ability to engage C-suite, sales, customers, and partners across virtual and in-person settings

Preferred Skills

  • Experience developing solution-led content and executing campaigns

  • Proven ability to operate effectively in fast-moving, ambiguous environments while managing multiple workstreams and priorities

  • Strong strategic and creative problem-solving skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts into clear, differentiated messaging

  • Familiarity with the application delivery and security market and key customer personas, including NetOps and SecOps

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Duties are performed in a normal office environment while sitting at a desk or computer table.

  • Duties require the ability to utilize a computer, communicate over the telephone, and read printed material.

  • Duties may require being on call periodically or working outside normal working hours (evenings and weekends).

  • Job may be performed on-site at a customer facility or data center, or in an office environment sitting at a desk or computer table.

The annual base pay for this position is: $149,600.00 - $224,400.00

F5 maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, geographic locations, and market conditions, as well as to reflect F5’s differing products, industries, and lines of business. The pay range referenced is as of the time of the job posting and is subject to change.
