F5 is seeking a strategic and technical Manager, Software Development Engineering to lead our Employee Experience (EX) Finance and Legal subpillar. In this role, you will lead a team of high-performing engineers and architects responsible for the digital backbone of our global finance operations. This leadership position is central to our mission of delivering a world-class digital workplace, specifically focusing on the Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Tax, and Financial reporting ecosystems. You will oversee the development and integration of platforms including Oracle, Coupa, Workday, and OneSource, ensuring our financial systems are scalable, secure, and compliant.

Responsibilities

  • Engineering Leadership & People Management: Lead and mentor a multi-disciplinary team of software and systems engineers. Foster a culture of technical excellence, continuous learning, and high accountability.

  • Subpillar Strategic Ownership: Define and execute the technical strategy for the Finance and Legal subpillar. Ensure alignment between technical roadmaps and the strategic goals of the Global Finance, Procurement, and Legal organizations.

  • ERP & Financial Systems Oversight: Provide architectural guidance and oversight for our core financial ecosystem, including Oracle Financials, Coupa (P2P), and Workday. Ensure these systems are optimized for global performance and compliance.

  • Integration & Data Strategy: Drive the strategy for complex integrations involving OneSource (Tax), Oanda (FX Rates), and other third-party financial services. Ensure robust data integrity and real-time processing across the enterprise.

  • Stakeholder Management: Act as a key partner to senior Finance leadership, specifically within Procurement and Accounts Payable (AP). Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

  • Scrum & Agile Delivery: Manage the software development lifecycle (SDLC) using Scrum methodologies. Drive predictable delivery, manage backlogs, and ensure high-quality releases.

  • Operational Excellence: Ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of financial platforms. Implement best practices for QA, DevOps, and platform management to minimize technical debt.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in software engineering or enterprise systems, with at least 3+ years in a formal people management role.

  • Deep Functional Knowledge: Proven experience managing engineering teams supporting Finance/Legal business functions and a strong understanding of P2P, AP, and Tax processes.

  • Platform Expertise: Technical familiarity with Oracle E-Business Suite or Oracle Cloud, Coupa, and Workday architectures.

  • Integration Specialist: Hands-on experience with enterprise integration strategies (APIs, Middleware) and financial data services like OneSource and Oanda.

  • Agile Expert: Strong track record of managing engineering delivery using Scrum/Agile frameworks.

  • Global Compliance: Understanding of global financial regulations and the technical controls required to support them (e.g., SOX, VAT/GST, and Internal Audits).

  • Stakeholder Excellence: Exceptional ability to communicate technical strategies to non-technical Finance and Legal executives.

The annual base pay for this position is: $x - $x
