Position Summary
This internship opportunity is designed to provide you with a hands-on opportunity to help us to solve real-world data challenges across our enterprise while enhancing your skills and contributing F5 mission to bring to life a better digital world.
As a Data Analyst Intern on F5’s Enterprise Data Management (EDM) team, you will gain exposure to business use cases and cross-functional teams while supporting how F5 defines, improves, and validates our critical enterprise data. You’ll work alongside analysts and engineers within our Data and Insights team to help analyze data issues, support operational needs in current-state systems, and assist with activities tied to data rebuild/migration efforts. This internship is a hands-on opportunity to work with real-world datasets, improve data quality, and learn how data is managed, structured, and used to support business decisions.
If you enjoy working with us there is the possibility of converting into a permanent employee upon graduation. This position is based in Seattle and reports to the F5 Core Data Manager.
Your Typical Day May Involve:
Assisting EDM Data Quality Analysts with reactive operational support related to customer data (Organizations/Individuals), including investigation of issues and ad hoc analysis.
Contributing to the proactive quality management of customer data through profiling and analysis of third-party enrichment sources
Helping analyze and validate data involved in Salesforce customer records and Marketo-related requests (as applicable), using spreadsheets and basic reporting/analysis tools.
Contributing to management and analysis of Hardware Asset to Site/Party relationships (e.g., data supporting Renewals and Services motions), including identifying anomalies and supporting cleanup efforts.
Assisting in building, automating, and improving data quality dashboards/scorecards or metric summaries (e.g., Tableau and spreadsheets), focused on clarity, repeatability, and business usefulness.
Contributing to team meetings, status updates, and documentation; work independently on assigned tasks while collaborating across EDM stakeholders.
Following data governance, security, and privacy best practices
Performing other related duties assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Understanding of basic descriptive statistics and data distributions (e.g., counts, rates, trends, outliers).
Basic understanding of data concepts (e.g., data quality, databases, schemas)
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail; ability to follow data lineage and identify root causes of data issues.
Strong verbal and written communication skills (able to summarize findings for both technical and non-technical audiences).
Ability to learn quickly and comfort tackling complex, cross-system problems with curiosity.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deliver on deadlines in a collaborative environment.
Experience with spreadsheets (Excel/Google Sheets) required; Tableau experience is a plus.
Familiarity with SQL, Python, or R for analysis is preferred but not required.
Interest in enterprise data concepts (data domains, data quality, governance, master/reference data).
Requirements / Qualifications
Must be a current student in the United States pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s degree.
Approaching Junior year (Bachelor’s) or beyond at the time of the internship.
Available for a 12-week internship between May and September 2026.
Must have at least one additional quarter/semester remaining after completing the internship.
Must be willing to relocate to Seattle for the internship and for a subsequent full-time role upon graduation if offered.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Duties are performed in a normal office environment while sitting at a desk or computer table. Duties require the ability to utilize a computer, communicate over the telephone/online meetings, and read printed or electronic material. The role may be hybrid and require periodic in-office collaboration. Additional hours may occasionally be required to support project milestones.

Eligibility: This internship is open to students pursuing their bachelors or masters degree at an accredited college or university in the US, planning to graduate between December 2026 and June 2027. Our interns – and their conversion role - are required to be based on one of our US hub locations where you can experience a hybrid working environment. This internship and the full-time conversion will be based in San Jose. Interns are expected to relocate.

The hourly U.S. pay range for this position is: $23.82 - $51.70F5 maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, geographic locations, and market conditions, as well as to reflect F5’s differing products, industries, and lines of business. The pay range referenced is as of the time of the job posting and is subject to change.
