Position Summary
The Sourcing Manager II plays a key role in supporting F5’s global Supplier Management and Procurement strategy. In this role, you will partner with internal stakeholders and suppliers to understand business requirements, identify opportunities, and execute sourcing activities that deliver measurable value. Procurement is shifting to a next-generation, digitally enabled organization, moving our focus to high-impact strategic value creation.
This position focuses on managing sourcing events, administering supplier relationships, and executing competitive bid processes for a defined set of commodities or services. While this role contributes to strategic category development, it operates with moderate autonomy and typically supports more senior sourcing managers on complex or enterprise-wide initiatives.
Primary Responsibilities
- Support negotiation, structuring, and administration of renewal and net-new contracts that establish and maintain business relationships with suppliers.
- Execute competitive sourcing events (RFx), analyze bids, and provide recommendations to stakeholders.
- Assist the Vendor Enablement Manager with Vendor Onboarding duties on an occasional basis, based on workload.
- Partner with stakeholders across Finance, Legal, Security, Digital (IT), and other business units to support sourcing decisions and ensure alignment with F5 requirements.
- Support a culture of supplier partnership and innovation, enabling the business to move faster with informed, forward‑looking insights.
- Contribute to category strategy development by analyzing spend, identifying trends, and recommending sourcing opportunities.
- Assist with execution of scalable spend‑management strategies to reduce total cost of ownership and reduce time to value metrics.
- Ensure sourcing activities comply with F5’s Procurement policies, processes, and governance requirements.
- Strengthen our ability to make data‑driven decisions by leveraging analytics, benchmarks, and predictive insights.
- Utilize Coupa, Icertis, Oracle, Tableau and other procurement tools for sourcing workflows, contract lifecycle management, and reporting.
Skills & Qualifications
Required
- 3+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, supply chain, or vendor management.
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret data and make recommendations.
- Experience running RFx events, evaluating proposals, and supporting negotiations.
- Ability to operate as a true partner to the business, collaborating across Finance, Legal, Security, IT, and business units.
- Sense of urgency on high priority projects and commitment to internal customer service.
- Comfort working in a fast‑evolving environment that values urgency, clarity, accountability, and proactive communication.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and willingness to help shape modernized, scalable procurement workflows.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and a comfort level with learning new digital tools.
Preferred
- Knowledge of procurement systems (Coupa, Icertis, Oracle EBS, Service Now, or similar).
- Experience working with Legal, IT Security, and Finance on contracts, DPAs, SOWs, and supplier onboarding processes.
- Background supporting technical, SaaS, or professional‑services sourcing categories.

The annual base pay for this position is: $68,800.00 - $103,200.00F5 maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, geographic locations, and market conditions, as well as to reflect F5’s differing products, industries, and lines of business. The pay range referenced is as of the time of the job posting and is subject to change.
