Cross-functional collaboration: Partner with PMs, developers, data science, and stakeholders to define requirements, lead feature kickoffs, and conduct peer reviews/workshops.
User validation: Conduct regular, lightweight usability testing and user feedback sessions to iterate on prototypes and improve existing features.
System maintenance: Contribute to and maintain the Figma design system to ensure visual and functional consistency.
Product stewardship: Proactively track UX debt, dogfood the product, manage the design backlog, and maintain a holistic view of cross-product workflows and terminology.
Strategic vision: Contribute to the long-term UX vision and roadmap.
Pitching in: Other related duties as needed, such as assisting with release notes and documentation, product demos, project management.
What you bring
Design leadership: Proven ability to lead the design process and stay level-headed during uncertainty—with the ability to change perspectives, reframe problems, and help teams stay focused when priorities shift.
Problem solving: Skilled at solving complex design problems and rapidly illustrating ideas for technical applications.
Execution: Strong interaction and visual design skills with a deep understanding of user-centered design principles as they apply to productivity tools.
Adaptability: Ability to work independently, manage multiple project timelines, and manage trade-offs to achieve both speed and quality.
Communication: Strong communication skills, including the ability to be candid and respectful in difficult conversations, to write concisely and clear, and adjust communication style to the situation.
Collaboration: Ability to build effective and mutually respectful relationships with cross-functional teammates.
Autonomy: A working style that’s self-directed and proactive, rarely needing outside approval to do what’s necessary for good UX.
