F5, Inc. seeks Sr. Consultant in Seattle, WA:
Job Duties: Define, review, and customize the security solution for each client based on unique business and technical requirements. Analyze the customer's infrastructure, security needs, and potential risks. Lead the installation, configuration, and integration of F5’s security offerings, such as Web Application Firewall (WAF), Bot Defense, API Security, DDOS protection, and Reputation Service. Oversee network setup, manage load balancers, and ensure the seamless connection to customer environments. Identify and anticipate additional customer needs or potential risks to ensure high satisfaction and project success. Proactively provide insights, security advice, and recommendations on optimizing solutions for evolving business needs. Develop and review standard operating procedures, incident response documentation, and knowledge transfer materials to support customer understanding and operational continuity. Create and update technical guides, playbooks, and best practices for internal and customer use. Develop or implement tools to enhance monitoring, detect malicious threats, and streamline system performance. Leverage scripting languages and tools (such as Bash, Python, Ansible, Terraform) to enhance automation and orchestration capabilities. Full-time telecommuting is an option.
Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any field) or a related quantitative discipline and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in any occupation in related field.
Special Skill Requirements: (1) TCP/IP; (2) Firewalls; (3) TCP Dump; (4) WAF; (5) DNS; (6) ICMP; (7) Routers & Switches; (8) WAN; (9) OSPF; (10) BGP; (11) LAN; (12) Wireshark; (13) VMware; (14) SDN; and (15) Reverse proxies. Any suitable combination of education, training and experience is acceptable. Full-time telecommuting is an option.
