We are looking for a Cloud Deployment Engineer (AI Security) to join our growing Professional Services team. This is a customer-facing role focused on delivering impactful cloud deployment solutions across public cloud environments such as AWS and Azure. The position provides a unique opportunity to design, implement, and optimize cloud-based projects for our clients while acting as a trusted advisor for post-deployment improvements, scaling and optimization.
The role moves beyond traditional technical support by emphasizing proactive customer engagement, customized deployments, and infrastructure fine-tuning, paving the way for career growth into Professional Services Consulting. Success in this position requires strong technical expertise in cloud environments, strong project leadership and the ability to operate with high autonomy in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Cloud Deployment & Advisory
- Own end-to-end deployment activities, from planning and configuration to implementation, ensuring project-based delivery across AWS and Azure environments.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive deployment playbooks, serving as a blueprint for consistent and efficient implementations.
- Provide expert advisory services to clients, including best practices for infrastructure optimization, scaling, and fine-tuning post-deployment.
- Advise customers on the deployment of AI Security and security orchestration, ensuring low-latency performance for real-time AI applications.
- Collaborate closely with the Solution Engineering team to ensure a seamless transition from Proof of Concept (POC) to full-scale production deployment.
- Partner with customers to understand their unique requirements and ensure tailored solutions meet business objectives.
Customer Collaboration & Ownership
- Act as a key point of contact for customers during deployment projects, ensuring high levels of communication, satisfaction, and project alignment.
- Address customer feedback proactively by recommending and delivering enhancements to project implementations post-deployment.
- Conduct post-deployment 'Health Checks' to analyze GPU utilization, recommending instance rightsizing (e.g., A100 vs. H100) to balance inference speed with TCO (Total Cost of Ownership)
- Build trust and transparency with customers by offering actionable guidance that strengthens long-term relationships.
Technical Expertise
- Apply advanced technical knowledge of cloud platforms to design and implement cutting-edge solutions tailored to client environments.
- Maintain a deep understanding of F5’s products and services, harnessing their capabilities to solve customer business challenges.
- Collaborate with engineering and product development teams when necessary to ensure smooth integration and support continuity.
Process Optimization & Leadership
- Continuously evaluate deployment processes to improve efficiency, identify gaps, and enhance operational performance for our AI Security products.
- Mentor and guide junior team members, sharing expertise to elevate overall team capabilities.
- Take initiative to drive innovation within deployment projects, identifying opportunities for automation or enhanced orchestration.
Qualifications:
Required Skills & Experience:
Technical Expertise:
- Practical experience (3+ years) working with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), including cloud infrastructure setup, deployment, and optimization.
- Experience with LLM deployment patterns (RAG, fine-tuning) and an understanding of the security risks unique to generative AI.
- Experience with GPU/CPU sizing tradeoffs for performance and cost balance
- Proficiency in creating and managing technical documentation such as deployment playbooks or operational guides.
- Fluency in scripting tools and languages (e.g., Python, Bash) to automate deployment processes.
Customer-Facing Experience:
- Skilled in managing customer relationships with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to engage stakeholders and deliver tailored deployment solutions based on client needs.
Project Management:
- Foundational experience in managing deployment projects, including scoping, resource allocation, and delivering on defined timelines.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make judgment calls in fast-paced and dynamic environments.
Cloud Technologies & Tools:
- Hands-on experience with monitoring and orchestration tools like Kubernetes, Terraform, Prometheus or similar systems.
- Understanding of core cloud and web technologies (e.g., APIs, HTTP, DNS).
- Solid knowledge of Linux environments and networking fundamentals.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with F5 products is a plus but not mandatory.
- Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration
- Experience with post-deployment infrastructure fine-tuning or optimization techniques.
