This role is critical to driving financial performance by ensuring an optimal balance between scaling top-line revenue and managing operational expenses. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leveraging financial data to inform strategic decisions, enhance profitability, and enable sustainable growth. Strong expertise in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), paired with a keen understanding of revenue models, cost structures, and cross-functional collaboration, is essential to this role.
This is a leadership position that represents a unique opportunity for a dynamic and strategic thinker who can bring together the critical elements of FP&A and revenue generation. You will be instrumental in identifying new growth opportunities, improving processes, maximizing profitability, and supporting key decision-making initiatives across our Services organization. The successful candidate must be forward-thinking, results-oriented, and able to adapt in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Financial Leadership
- Hybrid Approach to Revenue and Expense Management: Leverage financial tools, data, and insights to drive both revenue optimization strategies (e.g., pricing models, upsell/cross-sell opportunities, and subscription performance) and cost-control measures (e.g., COGS, cloud hosting expenses, operational run rates).
- Strategic Partnership: Act as the key financial and strategic advisor to Services leadership teams. Provide insights and forward-thinking recommendations to maximize revenue opportunities while managing cost efficiencies across service delivery, customer engagement, and operations.
- Revenue Forecasting and Optimization: Drive accurate revenue forecasting models for recurring revenue streams including subscription-based services. Identify growth opportunities by analyzing market trends, customer behaviors, and service performance.
- Expense Management and Cost Optimization: Develop and execute strategies to improve the cost-effectiveness of operations. Work to minimize waste, control overhead, and invest in impactful initiatives that contribute to profitability.
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Budgeting and Forecasting Excellence: Lead the Services team’s annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with broader corporate financial goals. Analyze revenue and expense drivers and build long-term financial plans to support strategic priorities.
- Data-Driven Decision Support: Build and refine financial models and key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the impact of strategic initiatives, including recurring revenue growth, margin improvements, workforce scalability, and operational efficiencies. Translate data insights into recommendations that improve financial and operational results.
- Performance Reporting: Design and implement financial reporting structures to track revenue performance, cost metrics, and progress on KPIs. Present financial updates and actionable recommendations to Services leadership and other key stakeholders with clarity and impact.
Innovation and Process Improvement
- Enhancing Financial Infrastructure: Champion the adoption of tools, analytics, and best practices to improve forecasting accuracy, operational transparency, and decision-making velocity within the Services organization. Optimize processes for scalability and reliability.
- Continuous Improvement Mindset: Identify, evaluate, and execute ongoing process improvements to FP&A workflows, including automation of reporting, integration of tools, and enhanced data accessibility for service and revenue teams.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Alignment with Services Organization: Partner with cross-functional teams (e.g., operations, sales, technology, and customer success) to align financial planning, revenue strategies, and operational objectives. Serve as a bridge between finance and operational teams to ensure targets are realistic and achievable.
- Support Key Initiatives: Collaborate on high-impact projects, such as pricing strategy, contract analysis, and cost optimization efforts, ensuring financial considerations are embedded into the decision-making process.
- Scenario Planning: Support long-term scenario planning to anticipate the financial impact of growth opportunities and challenges, ensuring the Services organization is equipped for future success.
