The Strategy & Operations role provides a unique opportunity to work closely with the senior leadership team in shaping the rhythm of business, portfolio planning, and strategic program management to drive execution across the business. You will have the ability to provide operational leverage across the security and risk portfolio and ensure alignment with broader enterprise priorities.

What You’ll Do

  • Strategic Planning and Execution:

  • Design and lead the rhythm of the business across enterprise-wide technology operations.

  • Identify and prioritize strategic programs to improve delivery, efficiencies and risks across the CTOO Office.

  • Act as a key advisor and support for the CTOO in decision-making, managing priorities and portfolios to ensure alignment of strategic objectives.

  • Communication and Reporting:

  • Create and deliver external communication strategies in partnership with CMO office.

  • Internal communications execution to ensure the entire organization is aligned, rowing together, and amplifying the culture of F5. Prepare briefings, reports, and presentations for leadership meetings.

  • Stakeholder Management:

  • Serve as the liaison between the CTOO and other business units. Ensure clear communication and alignment across departments, fostering collaboration and coordination on company-wide initiatives. Partner with teams to manage resistance and promote engagement during times of change.

  • Meeting Preparation and Facilitation:

  • Prepare briefings, reports, and presentations for meetings at all levels up to and including the Board of Directors. Create and distribute updates on strategic initiatives and ensure the timely flow of information.

  • Prepare agendas and materials for leadership meetings, ensure alignment of priorities, and follow up on action items. Attend meetings on behalf of the CTOO when required.

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven experience in a Chief of Staff, or senior operational role, preferably in a fast-paced or high-growth technology environment.

  • Very strong communications expertise with both internal and external constituents.

  • Strong organizational, planning, portfolio and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliverables.

  • Deep understanding of business operations, financial metrics, and performance drivers in a technology company.

  • Strong analytical skills: Ability to interpret data, identify trends, and use insights to inform business decisions.

  • Proficiency in data analysis and performance metrics to drive operational improvements.

  • Experience in budgeting, resource allocation, and forecasting, ensuring the CTOO’s priorities are met within financial constraints.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate across all levels of the organization.

  • Strategic thinking with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate strategy into execution.

  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence without authority.

  • Experience in handling sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and drive results.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Management, or a related field (MBA preferred).

  • 12+ years of experience in a leadership or operational role, with a minimum of 5 years working closely with C-level executives, particularly in technology companies.

  • Experience in a similar strategic/operational role managing diverse functions like business operations, strategy execution, and organizational change.

  • Proven track record of driving cross-functional projects, coordinating multiple departments (e.g., Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing), and managing large-scale initiatives to successful completion.

The annual base pay for this position is: $242,900.00 - $364,300.00

F5 maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, geographic locations, and market conditions, as well as to reflect F5’s differing products, industries, and lines of business. The pay range referenced is as of the time of the job posting and is subject to change.
