F5 Digital Platforms accelerates this mission by modernizing the enterprise systems and experiences that support our customers, partners, and internal teams.

Position Summary

F5 Digital is seeking a Senior Salesforce Developer to build and scale enterprise-grade solutions across Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Experience Cloud, supporting key business motions across Pre-Sales, Sales, Renewals, and Partner/Channel. This role is hands-on, highly technical, and focused on building robust, maintainable platform capabilities while partnering closely with architecture, product, engineering, and integration teams.

The ideal candidate brings deep Salesforce engineering expertise (Apex, LWC, integrations, data modeling, platform security), strong architectural judgment, and a quality-first mindset. You will design and implement solutions that integrate across a broader enterprise ecosystem, including connected experiences with CPQ/ERP platforms and downstream analytics.

Key Responsibilities:

Salesforce Engineering and Solution Delivery

  • Design and develop scalable Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), JavaScript, SOQL/SOSL, and platform configuration.

  • Own end-to-end implementation from technical design through build, testing, deployment, and post-release stabilization.

  • Build reusable components and patterns to improve consistency across the Salesforce ecosystem.

  • Drive performance, maintainability, and reliability through thoughtful architecture and proactive refactoring.

Architecture, Standards, and Best Practices

  • Provide technical leadership on design patterns, governor-limit safe development, and platform best practices.

  • Create and maintain technical design documentation, sequence diagrams, and data flow diagrams as needed.

  • Partner with Salesforce Architects to align implementations with platform governance, security, and enterprise standards.

  • Review code and design changes; mentor developers through constructive feedback and hands-on guidance.

Integrations and Enterprise Connectivity

  • Design and implement integrations using Salesforce APIs (REST/SOAP), Platform Events, Change Data Capture (CDC), Streaming APIs, and middleware patterns.

  • Work with integration platforms (for example MuleSoft, Boomi, Informatica, or similar) to enable reliable, secure, and observable integrations.

  • Build and support asynchronous and event-driven solutions that integrate Salesforce with CPQ/ERP, identity/security, and analytics ecosystems.

  • Ensure resilient integration behavior: retries, idempotency, error handling, reconciliation, and monitoring.

Quality, Testing, and Release Excellence

  • Build strong automated test coverage (Apex unit tests, negative-path testing, bulk testing), and contribute to QA automation strategy where applicable.

  • Support CI/CD pipelines and release processes using tools such as Git-based workflows, Azure DevOps/Jira, Copado, Gearset, or equivalent.

  • Participate in sprint ceremonies, backlog refinement, and biweekly demos, ensuring engineering readiness and clear delivery outcomes.

  • Drive production stability by improving logging, observability, and incident response playbooks.

Security, Data, and Compliance

  • Design with Salesforce security fundamentals: profiles, permission sets, sharing, roles, FLS, Shield features where applicable.

  • Ensure solutions meet enterprise security and compliance expectations (least privilege, auditability, safe data handling).

  • Collaborate with data teams on data quality, lineage, and reporting readiness.

Qualifications (Required)

  • 10+ years of overall software engineering experience with significant hands-on Salesforce development in enterprise environments.

  • Strong expertise in Apex (triggers, classes, async), LWC, JavaScript, and Lightning platform patterns.

  • Deep understanding of Salesforce data modeling, security model, transaction behavior, and governor limits.

  • Proven experience designing and delivering integrations using Salesforce APIs and event-driven patterns.

  • Strong experience with DevOps practices: version control, branching strategies, CI/CD, code reviews, and release governance.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Salesforce certifications such as Platform Developer II, Application Architect, System Architect, or relevant specialization credentials.

  • Experience with Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and enterprise revenue lifecycle workflows (pipeline, approvals, quoting, renewals).

  • Familiarity integrating Salesforce with CPQ/ERP ecosystems (Oracle CPQ/Fusion or similar), and downstream analytics platforms.

  • Experience with platform observability and operational excellence: monitoring, alerting, dashboards, and root-cause analysis.

  • Experience in scaled Agile environments with multiple teams and shared dependencies.

What Success Looks Like

  • High-quality Salesforce solutions that are scalable, well-architected, and consistently delivered with predictable outcomes.

  • Integrations that are secure, resilient, and observable, with clear operational ownership and low defect leakage.

  • A codebase and component library that becomes easier to extend over time, not harder.

  • Strong engineering partnership with product, engineering, and architecture, with clear technical direction and pragmatic tradeoffs.
