Solutions Engineer — AI Runtime Security (F5 AI Center of Excellence, Dublin)
As a global leader in application and API security, F5 is expanding its capabilities into AI Runtime Security, ensuring organisations can safely operationalize Generative AI across critical business workflows. As part of F5’s AI Center of Excellence in Dublin, Ireland, this role sits at the forefront of securing AI inference, agentic systems, and enterprise LLM deployments.
This position is a Product Specialist Solutions Engineer focused on F5’s AI Runtime Security portfolio—previously the CalypsoAI product line—working with advanced security models, inference‑layer guardrails, and red‑team/defend capabilities.
Role Overview
The Solutions Engineer (SE) at F5 is a dynamic and pivotal role that bridges the technical and sales aspects of our business. You will specialize in our AI Runtime Security product suite, supporting customer adoption of AI securely and responsibly. This role is ideal for a technically strong, customer‑centric problem solver who thrives on creating clarity in complex technical landscapes.
As a key member of the Go‑To‑Market team, you will:
● Understand customer environments and AI adoption roadmaps
● Articulate the technical and business value of F5’s AI security solutions
● Build and deliver compelling demonstrations of inference‑layer protection, model red‑teaming, and agent defense
● Serve as a trusted advisor on secure AI deployment patterns
You’ll collaborate closely with Engineering, Product, Sales, and Security teams to drive customer success, influence roadmap priorities, and ensure customers can confidently scale their AI initiatives.
YOU WILL:
● Interpret complex AI security challenges and translate them into simple, actionable solution designs.
● Partner with Account Executives to drive sales motions and lead technical evaluations.
● Work cross‑functionally across F5 to deliver a cohesive and secure customer experience.
● Position yourself as a trusted advisor, understanding customer needs and recommending the right AI Runtime Security capabilities.
● Develop and deliver presentations, demos, and hands‑on sessions highlighting F5’s leadership in securing AI inference and agentic systems.
● Support field marketing events by representing F5 at conferences, webinars, and customer sessions.
● Stay informed on the accelerating AI security landscape—including AI red‑team methods, inference attacks, model‑specific vulnerabilities, and regulatory frameworks.
YOU HAVE:
● Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
● 5+ years in a customer‑facing technical role (Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer, Security Engineer, or similar).
● Strong understanding of AI, LLMs, Security, Cloud, and SaaS technologies, especially in Generative AI.
● Excellent communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate complex technical concepts.
● Experience collaborating across engineering, product, and sales organizations.
● A growth mindset—comfortable wearing multiple hats in a fast‑moving, innovative environment.
