The Manufacturing Project Manager will focus on planning and managing deliverables for various new and sustaining projects. The Manufacturing Project Manager will interface with extended MFG teams, The Product Development team, Product Marketing, Finance, Global Services, and external Suppliers to ensure success in managing a variety of projects.
Primary Responsibilities
- Responsible for planning and managing new and sustaining projects to meet product delivery, Quality, and cost goals (planning, scheduling, budgeting, status reports, presentations)
- Accomplish operational objectives by overseeing multiple projects.
- Improve processes and collaborate with the NPI team to continuously improve the entire product life cycle - Maximizing the performance of the NPI Team.
- Helping to drive continuous efforts to improve manufacturing factory yields
- Pro-actively partner with suppliers and factories at solving sustaining engineering issues
- Partner with F5’s repair facility on issues they are seeing from the field returns
- Document best known methods and standard operating procedures
- Responsible for upholding F5’s Business Code of Ethics and for promptly reporting violations of the Code or other company policies.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Experienced Project Manager in an electronics environment
- Experience in dealing with electronic contract manufacturers and fabrication suppliers (PCB, Metal, Plastics)
- Good presentation, negotiation, and conflict management skills
- Good problem-solving skills
- Must be able to manage projects that include virtual or multiple geography sites
- Experience with resolving supplier and factory quality issues
- Ability to work on several projects simultaneously
- Experience with SharePoint, Teams, and Confluence a plus
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of related experience as a Project/Program Manager in electronics
- Proficient in MS Project Professional, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
- BS/BA degree in a computer related field or equivalent industry experience (EE or ME degree preferred)
- PMP certification a plus
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Duties are performed in a normal office environment while sitting at a desk or computer table.
- Duties require the ability to utilize a computer, communicate over the telephone, and read printed material.
- Duties may require being on call periodically or working outside normal working hours (evenings and weekends). Duties may require the ability to travel via automobile or airplane, approximately 5% of the time spent traveling.
- Job may be performed on-site at a customer facility or data center, or in an office environment sitting at a desk or computer table.
Background Screening
This role involves customer facing engagements and may be subject to additional background check requirements per customer requests. All screenings and results will be subject to applicable law and F5 policies and may be used to determine work assignment or further employment eligibility.

The annual base pay for this position is: $88,298.00 - $132,448.00F5 maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, geographic locations, and market conditions, as well as to reflect F5’s differing products, industries, and lines of business. The pay range referenced is as of the time of the job posting and is subject to change.
