Role Overview:
The Senior HR Functional Strategist will play a pivotal role in shaping and operationalizing F5’s multi-year People & Culture strategy. This individual will be a strategic thought partner, driving key initiatives that foster a high-performing and human-first culture, aligning with F5's transformation to a SaaS-led and AI-first business. This role demands a deep expertise in strategic analysis, influencing skills, and the ability to navigate a product lifecycle framework within HR. The ideal candidate will optimize business performance through strategic insights and ensure best-in-class execution of critical people initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning & Execution:
Lead the development and operationalization of key strategic initiatives that support F5's multi-year People & Culture strategy, including our People Promise and associated Missions.
Translate business objectives into actionable people strategies, aligning with the company's SaaS-led and AI-first transformation.
Develop and maintain a strategic roadmap for People & Culture initiatives, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
HR Product Lifecycle Management:
Apply a product lifecycle framework to HR initiatives, from ideation and development to implementation and evaluation.
Drive the progression of HR programs and initiatives through each stage of the product lifecycle, ensuring timely and effective execution.
Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the impact of people strategies and initiatives.
Strategic Analysis & Insights:
Conduct in-depth analysis of people data, market trends, and industry best practices to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
Provide strategic recommendations and insights to senior leadership, influencing decision-making related to people strategy.
Develop and present comprehensive reports and presentations to communicate strategic findings and recommendations.
Stakeholder Engagement & Influence:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to drive alignment and ensure successful implementation of people initiatives.
Build strong relationships with senior leaders, HR business partners, and other key stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor.
Effectively communicate complex strategic concepts to diverse audiences, influencing decision-making and driving change.
Performance Optimization:
Identify and implement strategies to optimize business performance through effective people practices.
Develop and implement frameworks for evaluating the effectiveness of people programs and initiatives.
Drive continuous improvement of people processes and programs, ensuring alignment with best practices and evolving business needs.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 10+ years of experience in strategic planning, HR strategy, or related fields, preferably within a technology or SaaS environment.
Proven track record of developing and implementing successful people strategies that drive business results.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Deep understanding of HR best practices and emerging trends, particularly in the context of SaaS and AI.
Experience working within a product lifecycle framework is highly desirable.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

The annual base pay for this position is: $148,130.00 - $222,194.00F5 maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, geographic locations, and market conditions, as well as to reflect F5’s differing products, industries, and lines of business. The pay range referenced is as of the time of the job posting and is subject to change.
