F5 Inc, A Market leader in Application Delivery Controllers and Security platforms, is hiring for its Centre of Excellence office in Hyderabad, India. Join our team of super smart engineers working in a fun, fast-paced, and highly technical environment where your dreams can become reality.

As a contributing member of the team, you will be integrated into cross functional working project teams in our Product Development organization. This position will provide you an opportunity to gain valuable, hands-on work experience working on a modern and modularized software ecosystem which uses the latest containerization technologies to power a software defined hardware platform. This platform hosts the F5’s applications to power the apps around the world.

As part of F5’s software engineering professionals, you will be tasked with our most challenging problems, building innovative high-quality solutions that are secure, scalable, and reliable. You will undertake challenging assignments that provide the opportunity for you to broaden your Operating Systems knowledge, vendor/3rd party provided packages, along with software installations and system software integration.

What You’ll Do:

  • You will help us identify and develop solutions to improve scalability, performance and simplify our platform and processes.

  • Advocate for reliability and develop standards across services and teams.

  • You will drive standardization efforts across multiple disciplines, systems, software, and teams

  • Maintain services once they are live by measuring and monitoring availability, latency and overall system health.

  • Support Continuous Integration and Deployments across various environments.

  • Evaluate and integrate or develop solutions for F5 environments for any security vulnerabilities.

Who you are:

  • You have a solid understanding of systems and application design, including the operational trade-offs of various designs.

  • Creative problem-solving skills, critical thinking and excellent troubleshooting/debugging skills.

  • You have strong interpersonal skills and a sense of ownership and drive.

  • Be adaptable and able to focus while working with large, complex, and multi-team owned services.

  • Can take initiative on tasks and work well in a remote team environment.

  • You have an interest in working with distributed systems, microservices and modern container orchestration platforms and related systems (e.g. Kubernetes, docker)


Requirements:

  • Minimum 2+ years of handling services in a large-scale distributed environment.

  • Strong knowledge of C/C++ Programming languages.

  • Knowledge of scripting languages (Python/Shell Scripts) is an added advantage.

  • Basic networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, HTTPS, VLANs, DNS, load balancing and firewalling, etc.

  • Working knowledge of Linux OS is a must.

  • Experience working in a containerized environment (Docker) and understanding of container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes is an advantage.

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Excellent customer service focus.
