Position Summary
This position is responsible for the design, development, and implementation of CI/CD/CT of the product. Designs, develops, and maintains high-quality code for complex product components. Manages assigned projects independently and may serve as technical expert for issues associated with specific projects.
Primary Responsibilities
- Independently determines and develops approaches to solutions for assigned projects by identifying, resolving, and mitigating risk and communicating to stakeholders
- Provides technical solutions to detail certain aspects of product design and ensures that resulting design specification fits into technical architectural framework.
- Performs analysis to define design requirements for modification to existing tools, utilities, system structures, environments and provide technical input into project scope and estimating activities.
- Recommends and maintains technical design methodologies, processes, and standards.
- Provides technical guidance to lower-level engineers,
- Assist Principal Engineers and Management with project scope.
- Consistently meet commitments.
- Assisting and driving customer solutions.
- Participates in hiring and onboarding process.
- Conducts presentations internally and externally.
- Responsible for upholding F5’s Business Code of Ethics and for promptly reporting violations of the Code or other company policies.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong knowledge and extensive experience with relevant platform technologies
- 5+ years programming experience in CICD, Go, Python, Bash, Terraform, Ansible.
- Must be a Subject Matter Expert in DevOps area.
- Knowledge of security practices in containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with static and dynamic code analysis tooling
- Expertise in security for APIs and microservices architecture
- Experience with traffic processing products assessment
- Demonstrated leadership role within project team and collaborate well with other teams.
- Able to collaborate and thrive in a fast-paced high-performance environment.
- Development experience in object-oriented programming.
- Strong analytic / trouble-shooting skills.
- Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communications.
- Extensive knowledge of product life cycle.
- Duties are performed in a normal office environment while sitting at a desk or computer table.
- Duties require the ability to utilize a computer, communicate over the telephone, and read printed material.
Qualifications
- Typically requires a minimum of 10 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 8 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 5 years experience; or equivalent experience.

The annual base pay for this position is: $181,774.00 - $272,660.00F5 maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, geographic locations, and market conditions, as well as to reflect F5’s differing products, industries, and lines of business. The pay range referenced is as of the time of the job posting and is subject to change.
