Are you passionate about working with smart people on challenging problems in an environment that values hard work, integrity, and teamwork? Want the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art cloud technologies, containers, and orchestration systems, and microservices?
As a contributing member of the team, you will be integrated into cross functional working project teams in our Product Development organization. This position will provide you with an opportunity to gain valuable, hands-on work experience working directly on Red Hat’s Linux Centos Distributions.
As part of F5’s software engineering professionals, you will be tasked with our most challenging problems, diagnosing, and troubleshooting complex systems issues, and building innovative high-quality solutions that are secure, scalable, and reliable. You will undertake challenging assignments that allow you to broaden your knowledge.
Primary Responsibilities:
Design, implement and Support software/firmware solutions for platform components of F5 products.
Design, implement and Support solutions in Linux kernel code, device drivers, data path and L2 networking.
Work cross functionally integrating, testing, and debugging issues with existing system wide software.
Recommends and maintains technical design methodologies, processes, and standards
Independently determines and develops approaches to solutions for assigned projects by identifying, resolving, and mitigating risk and communicating to stakeholders
Provides technical solutions to detail certain aspects of product design and ensures that resulting design specification fits into technical architectural framework.
Assisting and driving customer solutions
Document software designs and unit tests
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Essential-Technical
Strong knowledge of C/C++,
Understanding of Linux/UNIX Operating Systems
Networking exposure a plus (e.g. tcp, http, ssl).
Experience with Container based architecture and deployments (Docker, Ansible). Orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes
Experience using scripting languages Python,TCL Perl, configuration management tools (Git, perforce)
Familiarity with encryption keys and authentication methods

Knowledge of workflow tools (e.g. Atlassian)
Knowledge of source versioning tools like GitHub, perforce etc.
Qualifications
Requires at least 3 years related experience with a Bachelor of Engineering in ECE/Computers or 2 years with ME/MTech in ECE/Computers.
Excellent organizational agility and interpersonal skills throughout the organization.
Ability to work flexible hours for better collaboration with international teams.
