We are seeking a quality focused Software Engineer II to implement/automate Functional Requirements quality verification that is customer focused in a secure and extensible cloud focused microservice platform.

This role will:

  • Work with Product Owners and Architects to automate the verification with high quality bar.

  • Identify, integrate and develop tests to validate requirements for a distributed cloud product. Ability to create and maintain automated testing scripts. Familiarity with GO and GO test framework.

  • Demonstrated experience with Continuous Integration.

  • Demonstrated ability to write SQL queries and scripts for test results analysis, reporting capabilities.

  • Experience in automating RESTful APIs and CRUD operations. Familiar with REST tools for automation (like Postman etc.)

  • Participate in quality processes and outcomes in partnership with product managers, developers and dev ops engineers to build appropriate test infrastructure and integrate test tools and processes into the CI/CD pipeline.

  • Develop Test stratergy to model appropriate workloads to meet quality objectives.

  • Contribute at all levels of testing including unit, functional, automation and testing.

Core to this need are knowledge in:

  • Software design and development to accelerate engineering velocity of microservice based product.

  • Familiarity with modern cloud and DevOps oriented test technologies, analytics and tools.

  • Development of test automation of typical nfunctional requirements

  • Test-related aspects of the Software Development Process and Configuration Management including Agile Scrum

Ideally you will also have:

  • 3 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; 1 years with a Master’s degree; or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related major/minor.

  • 2+ years software development experience in Quality Automation development for highly scalable distributed systems in an Agile environment.

  • 2+ years strong programming experience in modern software languages such as Go, Java, Python.

  • 2+ years of Experience with Postgres and/or MySQL Database

  • 2+ years of experience with various scripting languages for lab automation (bash, python, perl, etc)

  • 2+ years of experience with automation/configuration management using GitLab CI or equivalent (eg. Jenkins).

  • 1+ years’ experience with container and container orchestration technology such as Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform or equivalent

  • 1+ years’ experience as a user of a CI/CD/DevOps ecosystem/pipeline

  • Good oral and interpersonal skills as necessary to work with peers, other teams and their management. Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality.
