We are looking for an exceptional Software Engineer to join our development group of F5 SSLO products, designing and developing data plane components for our cutting-edge security products on Appliance and Cloud platforms; to develop full life cycle from architecting, to designing, to supporting them in the field and finally to seamless transitions to next generation software systems.

Responsibilities:

Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs. Update software or enhance existing software capabilities. Exercise senior level knowledge in selecting engineering methods and techniques to design, implement, modify, and support SSL orchestrator component for BIG IP product to meet user or system specifications.

Work on problems of complex scope where analysis of solution requires evaluation of multiple factors of overall product.

Analyze and synthesize a variety of use cases to create a robust software with highly useful features for customers.

Develop prototype/mockups to socialize the business requirements and solutions with all the stakeholders. Develop highly scalable, secure, and efficient software.

Working with Senior and Principal Software Engineers and Architects, collect and analyze requirements from Product Owners. In an Agile/SCRUM(SAFe) environment, and CI/CD pipelines, develop, define and write code to implement algorithms to develop software application features in compliance with business requirements.

Write unit test cases and test code validity, also integration tests. Perform bug fixes by analyzing discrepancies that are found by the Quality Assurance team. Deploy software code for automated testing.

Develop code for review/correction by senior level engineers, and produce production-ready code. Design, code, test and maintain assigned software deliverables, and represent the customer perspective during software development activities. Contribute to the improvement of product development methods and tools.

Skill requirements:

Unix, Linux, Shell scripting, IDE, C, C++, Python, JavaScript, GO Lang. Knowledge and experience with network, security, and web technologies such as TCP, UDP, IP, HTTP, L4-L7, SSL, DNS. Familiar with testing tools: Wireshark, Tcpdump. Knowledge of Kubernetes is a plus.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field, MS preferred

4-5 years of professional experience

High energy with a can-do attitude.

Interpersonal skills to get things done together in a fast-paced environment

Effective communication skills and ability to work well in a team

The annual U.S. base pay range for this position is: $119,662.00 - $179,494.00
