F5 Inc. is in pursuit of an exceptional and motivated Test Engineer to play a pivotal role in our team, to help deliver the utmost quality product in our BIGIP NEXT SPK/CNF team. Position Summary

  • Be responsible and an advocate for the overall quality of the SPK/CNF product and features that the team develops
  • Develop detailed test plans for the features and components under your purview, ensuring a comprehensive approach to testing excellence.
  • Actively participate in test plan and bug reviews, contributing to the collective effort to enhance the product’s quality and robustness.
  • Responsible for performing tests as defined in the test plans for the features that the team delivers, hence identifying existing and new issues and bottlenecks, playing a key role in elevating the BIGIP NEXT SPK/CNF quality and performance.
  • Contribute to the development of a cutting-edge Test Framework and Tools as required, demonstrating your commitment to innovation in the testing domain.
  • Responsible for supporting the customers by resolving the issues reported.
  • Work very closely with architects, leads, cross-functional teams and other stakeholders, you will strengthen F5’s security technology offerings.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Essential

  • Knowledge of OSI Layer-1 to 7 including LAN switches, routers, tunnels, general TCP/IP and associated protocols preferred.
  • Must have experience and knowledge of Linux networking including networking protocols, architecture, and technologies (HTTP(S), TCP/IP, ...)
  • Good understanding of network security Firewall modules (ACL,NAT,DOS)
  • Must have knowledge on different Kubernetes concepts.
  • A skilled coder in Python or GO language.
  • Experience with Gitlab CI/CD pipelines and can Investigate and fix test pipeline failures.
  • Knowledge and experience with test methodologies used in software development.
  • Prior testing experience with similar products

Nice-to-have

  • Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communications.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Requires a minimum of 5 years related experience with a Bachelor’s degree or 3 years' experience with Masters’ degree

The annual U.S. base pay range for this position is: $140,909.00 - $211,363.00
