Senior Manager, Business Operations for WW Marketing

Role Overview
This is a strategic and facilitative role that requires a combination of focus and flexibility, as well as a willingness to play an active, behind-the-scenes role. As the CMO’s ‘trusted counsel’, the role requires a highly inventive individual with strong emotional intelligence, self-motivation, and excellent communication and organization skills.
Responsibilities
- Build trusting relationships across F5 including across integrated marketing teams, brand management, experiential marketing, solutions marketing, product marketing, growth & demand teams, communications, PR & AR, executive staff, finance, and HR.
- Coalesce and communicate our overall marketing strategy as we transform to be a more modern marketing organization.
- Support CMO in the development, communication, and execution of strategic and operational accountabilities. Partner closely with Marketing leadership team, Finance, HR, Product, Sales & Technology Services to align accountabilities across teams and organization. Continue to evolve the Marketing rhythm of the business, with input from key partners across F5, to ensure the right cadence and balance of strategic and operational emphasis. Drive accountabilities across team, including follow-up action items from various business reviews, executive staff presentations and team meetings.
- Create visibility, clarity, and alignment across Marketing leadership. Partner across the leadership to ensure teams are focused on the highest strategic and operational priority items. Gain understanding of overall team goals and provide guidance in driving alignment of goals to strategic priorities and focus. Act as a 2-way voice for and from the CMO in initiatives, projects and at meetings when needed, capture outcomes from meetings and assign follow on actions, track status and facilitate accountability. Anticipate blind spots that may happen across the team and provide recommendations on how to maximize value as a team.
- Develop and lead strategic CMO communications and presentations. Propose and coordinate key strategic messages and timely content for CMO communications as well as presentations to internal/external audiences; ensure content is consistent across various channels.
- Help guide and balance areas of focus for the Marketing leadership team. This may include confidential and time-sensitive topics in nature; frequently providing guidance and working with project teams. Gather, organize, interpret, and report data and external industry benchmark data to make sound business decisions; prepare related recommendations.
- Be a trusted advisor. Facilitate connections between CMO, marketing leadership and other employees without being a layer or filter. Keep a pulse on the business. Be systemic and connect dots with others across the company to heighten efficiency and enablement.
- Manage the Business Operations team, consisting of 2 program managers and executive assistant to the CMO

- Create a best-in-class organizational structure that is balanced and diverse, and constructs annual marketing budgets based on recommended industry spend ratios
- Demonstrate impact of increasing of marketing capabilities and enablement
- High employee engagement, satisfaction, and culture scores
Background/ Experience
- Experience leading, owning and driving complex projects with multiple work streams spanning different businesses and disciplines.
- Demonstrated virtual team leadership capabilities and ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Breadth of thinking and operationalization to lead work streams while owning and driving details
- Present and comfortable engaging at the Sr Leadership level
- Have a real passion for and consistent track record for execution with measurable results
- Proven experience motivating and influencing
- Experience with business case, organizational and budget development and planning
- May require being on call periodically or working outside normal working hours (evenings and weekends). Duties may require the ability to travel via automobile or airplane, approximately 20% of the time spent traveling.
- Minimum 8+ years’ experience within F5 or other enterprise software company with strong cross-functional experience, deep business, marketing, and technical acumen
- Knowledge or certification in F5 products/solutions is a plus
- Financial modeling skills are a plus
- BA or BS required, MBA is preferred

The annual U.S. base pay range for this position is: $154,808.00 - $232,212.00F5 maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, geographic locations, and market conditions, as well as to reflect F5’s differing products, industries, and lines of business. The pay range referenced is as of the time of the job posting and is subject to change.
