Position Summary - Communications Senior Manager – Product Org Communications

This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and measuring the impact of F5’s Product Organization communications including communications for the Chief Product Officer and her leadership team.

The person in this role will help amplify F5’s Product Strategy and how we make things “ridiculously easy” for our customers through the work of our product managers and engineers. They will directly support the Chief Product Officer in strategic and leadership communications to employees both in the function and across our global employee population and also support external speaking and media efforts for the Chief Product Officer. They are creative in their approach and have the ability to transform complex information into engaging content that aligns and mobilizes stakeholders. Strategic communications planning, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and using a distinct voice and tone to create interest and measurable engagement around content, will be required. The candidate will have great attention to detail, a global mindset, boundless curiosity to learn, and a keen understanding of the technology space.

Primary Responsibilities:

Supports awareness and understanding of F5’s Product Org strategy

  • Partners closely with the CPO and her leadership team to promote understanding of our product strategy and narrative

  • Develop engaging, creative content about / for the Product Organization for internal and external communications’ global digital platforms

  • Develop strategic messaging for use in key internal and external events for the CPO and Product leadership

  • Manage internal Product Organization employee engagement events including town halls, Q&As, and others

  • Consults with Product Organization senior leaders help align communications to business priorities

Promote clarity and transparency through change management communications

  • Partner with stakeholders across the Product Org and other teams to develop and execute comprehensive communications plans

  • Create clear communications that drive change adoption in a fast-paced, agile environment

Other Responsibilities:

  • Leverage company standards (e.g., comms best-practices, brand alignment) to build plans, processes, and timelines to support an annual program of communications for the Product Org

  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to create, execute, and measure communication plans from start to finish

  • Excellent research, writing and editing skills, including development of original content and the ability to construct concise and well-written memos, narratives, and other executive-level communications

  • Passionate storyteller across a range of digital channels

  • Globally aware with experience collaborating across countries and cultures

  • Technology background or experience is important for success in this role

Qualifications

  • BA degree in communications or relevant communications experience

  • 8 or more years’ experience internal, executive, or agency communications

  • Agile and curious thinker with a drive for continuous improvement

  • Self-motivator with entrepreneurial, “owner” mindset

The annual U.S. base pay range for this position is: $122,991.00 - $184,487.00

F5 maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, geographic locations, and market conditions, as well as to reflect F5’s differing products, industries, and lines of business. The pay range referenced is as of the time of the job posting and is subject to change.
