F5, Inc. seeks Software Engineer II in San Jose, CA:

Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs. Update software or enhance existing software capabilities. Utilize behavior and machine learning knowledge to analyze Web attacks, build logic to detect these attacks, and deploy to product pipeline in the Google Cloud Platform. Continuously collect large amounts of data from all customers and analyze network traffic based on data in order to detect bot traffic and monitor system performance for Web/Mobile/Cloud endpoints. Work closely with security analyst and customer support teams to deliver high impact products critical to primary business functions, and improve systems based on their feedback. Conduct security research and data analysis to find more effective identification of fraudulent network traffic. Utilize Java and other programming languages to develop software systems and test performance, writing corresponding documents. Analyst all types of real attacks and build detection mechanisms. Work closely with operations and customer support teams for product delivery. Telecommuting is an option.

Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Security Informatics, Engineering (any field) or a related quantitative discipline and three (3) months of experience in the field of software engineering, or three (3) months of experience in the job offered.

Special Skill Requirements: (1) Python; (2) C; (3) Go; (4) HTML; (5) JavaScript; (6) Shell; (7) MySQL; (8) Docker; (9) Git; and (10) Linux. Any suitable combination of education, training and experience is acceptable. Telecommuting is an option.

Salary: $184,662.00 - $211,363.00 per annum.
