What Actions Will You Take?

  • Guide our customers through their multi-cloud transformation journey, adeptly resolving intricate technical issues and facilitating the realization of F5 Application Services' full benefits across diverse cloud environments.

  • Serve as a reliable advisor, offering insightful analyses and effective solutions to both internal and external stakeholders, addressing challenges encountered by our customers with our products.

  • Take charge of multiple technology challenges, prioritizing them based on customer and business requirements.

  • Address customer issues comprehensively, while also contributing to knowledge-building efforts for the benefit of customers, colleagues, and product development teams.

  • Collaborate with peers to tackle technical issues, employing innovative approaches to reproduce and resolve problems in lab environments, even those deemed unsolvable.

  • Efficiently manage case escalations to Tier 3 resources while ensuring continuous communication with customers.

How do you qualify?

  • Possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or a related field or demonstrate equivalent professional experience.

  • Offer at least 8 years of pertinent work experience.

Extensive practical experience in the following areas:

  • Demonstrated expertise in troubleshooting and resolving issues in Linux/UNIX systems, including proficient utilization of tools like strace.

  • Proficiency in navigating and utilizing command-line interfaces in Unix-like environments.

  • Proficient in scripting and automation, with proficiency in languages such as Python, Shell scripting, and Ansible.

  • Familiarity with containerization platforms like Docker and Kubernetes.

  • Knowledgeable in cloud platforms and infrastructure, including AWS, Azure, GCE, and Terraform.

  • Competent in troubleshooting APIs, with a good understanding of JSON and YAML formats.

  • Proficient in Shell environments, particularly Bash.

  • Understanding of TCP/IP networking protocols.

  • Knowledgeable in HTTP, SSL/TLS protocols, and REST APIs.

  • Comfortable working with various layers of abstraction in virtualization, encapsulation, and clustered computing environments.

  • Familiarity with a broad range of networking concepts and topics.

  • Proficiency in English reading, writing, and speaking is essential, encompassing fluency in technical concepts and terminology. Proficiency in multiple languages is advantageous.

Additional skills, talents, and attributes of importance:

  • Familiarity with proxy servers, such as NGINX.

  • Proficiency in database management, including PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and similar platforms.

  • Possession of KCS Practices certification is advantageous.

  • Certification in any of the following F5 products (LTM, GTM, ASM, APM), coupled with knowledge of other F5 technologies, is desirable.

  • Strong aptitude in customer communication and advocacy.

  • Demonstrated competencies in LAN/WAN operations, network protocols, UNIX/Linux Operating Systems, and/or networking hardware are necessary.

  • Proven experience in managing multiple concurrent projects effectively.

  • Exposure to cloud solutions within container environments is beneficial.

Work Conditions and Physical Requirements:

  • Tasks are typically done in a standard office setting, primarily involving desk or computer table work. Activities necessitate computer usage, telephone communication, and reading printed materials.

  • Responsibilities may occasionally entail being on-call and working beyond regular office hours, including holidays, evenings, and weekends.

  • Some duties may involve travel via automobile or airplane, accounting for up to 10% of working time.
