You will get to join a pivotal F5's Technology Services' team that owns the systems used by day-day life through their SDLC lifecycle, CEDI.

CEDI is a team primarily focusing on all the applications developers use for their Planning (JIRA), SCM (Git), Git Runners (pipelines), Artifactory (Artefact storage) and Notary (signing the applications).

Through this role as an SRE-II in the CEDI team, you will be taking primary responsibilities of JIRA (Planning, Development, Maintenance, Support) and Confluence (Documentation).

This position requires you to understand the Atlassian stack of Application to a good extent and to be able to manage the upgrades, outages etc., seamlessly. We look forward for your automation skills to streamline the solutions.

What you will do:

  • 5+ years of working experience with Atlassian tools like Jira, Jira Align, Confluence administration.
  • Address all the tickets regarding Jira, Confluence, Jira-align.
  • Create and Maintain Integration between Jira, Jira Align and other systems like Identity Providers, Custom Plugins, Monitoring tools etc.
  • Have Scripting knowledge for Script Runner Automations.
  • Experience on create/maintain/delete Custom fields, Projects, Issue Types, Users, etc for Jira migrations etc.
  • Create and maintain complex workflows.
  • Support and maintain Atlassian systems to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and security.
  • Good Understanding of Tomcat Server internals to fine tune the Applications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues, including systems failures, connectivity problems, and performance bottlenecks.
  • Installation of JIRA , Confluence and Other systems as required for staging and other environments.
  • Apply observability and data skills to proactively measure system performance, diagnosing services/needs and quickly identify solutions.
  • Participate in service operation and RCA activities and assist with defining SLOs and SLIs for business stakeholders.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive knowledge bases for system documentation, including standard operating procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting guides, to support end-users' ability to use the systems effectively.
  • Participate in on-call rotation.
  • Responsible for upholding F5’s Business Code of Ethics and for promptly reporting violations of the Code or other company policies.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

What You’ll Bring:

  • A code-first approach to managing resources in at least two areas such as cloud platforms, SaaS platforms, containerization, or orchestration.
  • Proficiency in Agile delivery, DevOps principles and associated tools and technologies.
  • Knowledge in technology systems including infrastructure or SaaS platforms.
  • Familiarity with compliance and regulatory guidelines.
  • Understanding cybersecurity principles and best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as an integral member of an agile team
  • Experience with observability tooling including logging infrastructure, time series metrics databases, tracing systems, alert definitions, etc.
  • Proficient communication, planning, problem solving, trouble shooting, and organization skills
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and timelines


  • Typically requires a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 4-5 years of related experience in SRE role.
  • Or an advanced degree with relevant work experience in SRE role.
  • Proficiency with at least one scripting and/or programming language.
