Position Summary

Marketing Operations is the foundation of F5’s B2B demand generation engine. F5 Marketing Operations is looking for a savvy Marketing Analyst to help fill the increasing demand for reporting and analytics within the Global Marketing organization. This person will report to the Director of Marketing Operations & Analytics and provide tactical support for global marketing program values.

A successful person in this role will be a self-starter who takes ownership of projects and actively seeks out opportunities to streamline process and improve results against our ongoing marketing objectives. Exceptional organization, coordination and communication skills are core requirements of the role. Prior experience in B2B technology companies and marketing organizations (particularly with a digital focus) are a plus.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Ability to work with a variety of data sources to develop, and implement data and business intelligence reports to enable cross-functional teams to make data-driven business recommendations and decisions in support of key business objectives.

  • Proactively identify opportunities for improvement, continually scope and prioritize projects.

  • Manage end-to-end dash-boarding and other reporting projects across the Global Marketing organization focused on budget and spend data.

  • Weave budget data and campaign data to portray a marketing value story for leadership.

  • Identify data source gaps and help define the business tools and processes to begin capturing the right data to answer business questions.

  • Manipulate and transform data (typically in SQL, Tableau, PowerBI, or Excel) as necessary to provide the right level of depth in our reporting.

  • Ensure a high-level of data quality and accuracy across all relevant data sources.

  • Design and develop visually compelling dashboards, scorecards, and reports to help tell the Marketing data story.

  • Act as a consultant for internal partners and stakeholders for all reporting, analytics, and visualization related topics.

  • Partner with IT to provide requirements and project management to operationalize key data sources for the Enterprise Data Warehouse and core business reporting.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Data visualization best-practice and tools (Tableau Desktop/Tableau Server, Power BI, Google Looker, etc.).

  • Create and maintain dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs).

  • Help prepare monthly and quarterly department business reviews.

  • Expert Excel / Google Sheets skills, including experience manipulating large amounts of raw data.

  • Marketo and/or Salesforce data experience preferred.

  • Allocadia experience a plus.

  • Proactively takes project ownership and accountability for analytics and reporting projects.

  • Requirements gathering and documentation.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

  • Customer focus, with an analytical and problem-solving mentality.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferably with an engineering or technical focus

  • 5+ years of relevant marketing analytics work experience

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Duties are performed in a normal office environment while sitting at a desk or computer table.

  • Duties require the ability to utilize a computer, communicate over the telephone, and read printed material.

  • Duties may require being on call periodically or working outside normal working hours (evenings and weekends).
