Position Summary

We are looking for an experienced Sr principal Engineer to help design and implement features for Central Manager. Central Manager offers the most comprehensive solution for security and traffic management for apps spanning on-premises and multi-cloud architectures. This position provides technical and thought leadership opportunities that can make a significant impact to how our customers manage highly secure and performant applications.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a source of technical expertise to multiple project teams.
  • Recommend and maintain technical design methodologies, processes, and technologies.
  • Bring best industry practices and help navigate changing technologies and upcoming trends to create a strategic company product roadmap.
  • Integrates research and emerging business/industry trends into company product platforms.
  • F5 technology spokesperson at internal and external forums.
  • Creates formal networks with key decision makers and serves as external spokesperson for the organization.
  • Collaborate and mentor team members and technical leads.
  • Be an Advocate for Quality.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Expert in microservices based architecture and deployment.
  • Deep understanding of Kubernetes and Kubernetes-based architectures.
  • Solid coding experience (Golang, React JS, Python Bash).
  • Internally and externally recognized as a technical, industry or product specialist.
  • Brings the voice of the customer into the SDLC.
  • Expert Knowledge and extensive experience with network and web technologies.
  • Worked extensively on Management plane.
  • Experience leading complex product development initiatives from concept through release.
  • Exceptional problem solving and project management skills.
  • Strong leadership skills and an ability to mentor and groom other engineers.
  • Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communications.
  • Strong background working in Agile environments and with Agile methodologies.
  • Able to communicate ideas, make and influence decisions and inspire others.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 12 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 9 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 6 years; or equivalent experience.

The annual U.S. base pay range for this position is: $198,164.00 - $297,246.00
