Position Summary

F5’s Technology Services team is transforming the way we deliver value to our organization. We focus on high-impact products, meeting our clients where they are to uncover business needs and deliver results. Our teams go beyond the expected to help F5 move confidently through ambiguity and risk and drive more transformative outcomes.

F5 is seeking an experienced leader who will own the end-to-end delivery of value based in partnership with Portfolio, Product, and Business Stakeholders. This leader would manage a team which will intake strategic priorities and be responsible for breaking down prioritized product vision into consumable work for delivery. This leader will be instrumental in leading multiple workstreams, delivering in a scaled environment and ensuring high velocity value delivery. Value stream leads will be working with multiple disciplines such as product management, solution architecture, data, security, and all delivery functions. They will also be responsible for cross collaboration and work with other Value Stream leads to ensure value delivery at scale. This role will focus on the Customer Support & Success domains, enabling our business to provide the best possible post-purchase experience for our customers of whether they are hardware, software or SaaS customers.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the overall delivery of a value stream which includes multiple delivery workstreams.

  • Work with product and portfolio teams to intake prioritized epics

  • Establish best practices and processes to lead continuous improvement across workstreams and within the operating model

  • Collaborate with and facilitate value stream domain leaders in the breakdown of complex work items into features in preparation for delivery

  • Build high-performing workstreams with cross-functional capabilities to deliver on strategic initiatives

  • Guide and lead the infusion of a product-centric mindset in all aspects of value delivery management at all levels of the value stream.

  • Overall lead for tying value stream outcomes to expected business outcome definition in partnership with Product

  • Ensure value stream and workstreams teammates and skill sets align with organizational needs

  • Supply data and participate in portfolio reviews on value stream health and status

  • Strategic scope increase, business stakeholder size/scale increase, deeper/diverse and increased complexity in tech landscape,

  • Responsible for upholding F5’s Business Code of Ethics and for promptly reporting violations of the Code or other company policies.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

What You’ll Bring

  • 12+ years managing software and/or hardware programs; must have experience leading multiple teams containing 15 or more, and/or $7M+ in budget.

  • Solid knowledge in: Agile, Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, XP and Lean

  • Experienced in managing and breaking down highly complex strategic priorities.

  • Able to work within a dynamic environment and build best practices and standards for efficient delivery.

  • Strong communication skills working with different teams such as product, portfolio, and architecture teams at all levels of the company

  • Strong organizational skills and the capability to interpret and handle a vast array of information

  • Builder of strong relationships within their team and across the delivery organization

  • A real passion for building solutions with state-of-the-art technologies

  • You embrace challenging situations and enjoy solving complex problems.

Qualifications

  • 14 years in technology roles with 7+ years leading software and or hardware programs leading multiple, sizeable teams and or a multi-million-dollar budget.

The annual U.S. base pay range for this position is: $210,160.00 - $315,240.00

F5 maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, geographic locations, and market conditions, as well as to reflect F5’s differing products, industries, and lines of business. The pay range referenced is as of the time of the job posting and is subject to change.
