Position Summary:
The Systems Engineer II role within the Unified Communications and Collaboration team (UCC) is a pivotal individual contributor position. Responsible for implementing out-of-the-box (OOTB) solutions for Office 365, including SharePoint, OneDrive for Business, MS Teams, MS Voice, & Slack, this role also involves delivering ongoing enhancements and project requests to the business. Active participation in strategic initiatives, advocacy, and shaping the enterprise roadmap for the platform is also a key responsibility.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Office 365 Solutions Development – SharePoint, OneDrive, & Teams
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to business stakeholders seeking SharePoint solutions.
- Identify, evaluate, and implement OOTB SharePoint 365 solutions aligning with business needs.
- Implement best practices for developing SharePoint solutions.
- Provide developmental leadership and subject matter expertise on SharePoint to the team and business stakeholders.
- Assist in defining information architecture for SharePoint.
- Extend and integrate the platform through available APIs, SDKs, or other integration points.
- Platform Administration
- Master the use of SharePoint and Office 365 administrative features for fulfilling business requests and initiatives.
- Collaborate with vendor and IT teams for ongoing performance, availability, upgrades, and security objectives, as well as integration projects with other enterprise platforms.
- Manage and publish platform architecture, design, development, and operational procedures for reference by other teams.
- Assist F5 teams in optimizing collaboration within their team or across other departments.
- Act as a primary advocate for collaboration and the role our platforms play in facilitating it.
Other Responsibilities:
- Uphold the Business Code of Ethics and promptly report violations.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including learning development and administration of other corporate tools.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant work-related experience.
- 3-5 years of experience as a proficient developer of Office 365 SharePoint, OneDrive for Business, & Teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
- Exceptional troubleshooting skills.
- Proven ability to work successfully with both technical and non-technical teams.
- Self-directed and capable of leading projects and enhancements.
- Experience with front-end technologies (CSS, HTML, JavaScript).
- Familiarity with SharePoint Designer and Microsoft development tools.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Duties are performed in a typical office environment, requiring computer use, telephone communication, and reading printed material. On-call duties may be required periodically, and flexibility to work outside normal hours (evenings and weekends) may be necessary. Travel via automobile or airplane may be expected, accounting for approximately 10% of the working time. The physical ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 40 pounds is required on occasion.
