You will break the mold; the traditional lines between network engineering, system administration, and application development are blurring with today's abstracted environments, and we are excited to see you apply your expertise in each of these to make sophisticated technology work!

When not solving customer support issues, you may be involved in mentoring, building tools to improve both the organization and troubleshooting processes, crafting or contributing to training to spread knowledge throughout the business, and investigating new technologies.

You'll be cool under pressure, an authority in carefully disentangling and solving the most sophisticated of mysteries, and always looking for opportunities to improve the way things work. We'll have you work on the following:

  • Act on customer concerns on technical contact for assigned customers (Provide Tier-3 support for F5 P+ Team)

  • Take ownership of issues, and drive them to resolution.

  • Handle technical issues of any complexity with minimal direction.

  • Appropriately handle time and customer issues based on issue severity and business needs.

  • Develop creative solutions to problems, and prove them out in a lab environment.

  • Solve the unsolvable. Thrive on pursuing complex technical challenges that can span the OSI model into application behavior and software/hardware interactions.

  • Direct interaction with Product Development group on behalf of all external organizations and P+ customers.

  • Work with our Product Development and Product Management teams to ensure products are implemented in ways that meet customer requirements

  • Partner with Premium Plus team to ensure consistent support experience and messaging from the F5 Service Delivery Organization

How do you qualify?

  • Showcase 8+ years’ experience in a senior technical support role, working with relevant technologies

  • Demonstrate a level of knowledge of supported F5 product

  • Demonstrate experience and expert-level knowledge with enterprise architectures

  • Strong understanding of Telco/Mobile Carrier Service Provider Networks (Service Provider experience or equivalent)

Other areas you'll cover:

  • Show us your experience in supporting multi-cloud solutions in container environment (Kubernetes).

  • Experience in customer-facing positions. Demonstrate an ability to articulate and transfer sophisticated ideas to a wide audience through both verbal and written communication

  • Red Hat Certified Engineer - RHCE - a strong plus

  • Deep understanding of TCP/IP protocols and the OSI model

Physical demands and work environment:

  • Duties are performed in an office environment while sitting at a desk or computer table.
  • Ability to utilize a computer keyboard
  • Communicate on the telephone via headset
  • Ability to read material on computer monitor
  • Ability to read printed material
  • This role may be required to work outside of core business hours, including early morning, late evening, overnight, weekends, and/or holidays as needed
  • Some travel will be required (5%-10%)

The annual U.S. base pay range for this position is: $107,180.00 - $160,770.00
